Patrons of the Dogwood Nashville Bar flagged down police after noticing 30-year-old Donovan Staley was on the ground and unresponsive. He was initially unresponsive to chest rubs when medics arrived, but later rose to his feet and refused all assistance. He was transported to booking, charged with public intoxication.

| ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT: |
| OFFICERS WERE FLAGGED DOWN BY PATRONS OF DOGWOOD BAR LOCATED AT 1907 DOGWOOD BAR AND TOLD THAT THE DEFENDANT WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND FACING UPWARDS AND APPEARED UNRESPONSIVE. OFFICERS LOCATED THE DEFENDANT AND FIRE EMS RESPONDED TO RENDER AID TO THE DEFENDANT.
THE DEFENDANT WAS UNRESPONSIVE TO CHEST RUBS AT THE ONSET OF HIS ENCOUNTER WITH MEDICS. THE DEFENDANT LATER ROSE TO HIS FEET AND DECLINED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. THE DEFENDANT WAS OBSERVED SWAYING BACK AND FORTH WHILE STANDING ON HIS FEET. THE DEFENDANTS EYES WERE REDDISH IN COLOR AND AN ODOR OF ALCOHOL WAS APPARENT ON HIS PERSON. THE DEFENDANT WAS UNABLE TO CORRECTLY TELL OFFICERS HIS HOME ADDRESS AND CONTINUED TO USE A SLURRED SPEECH WHEN TALKING WITH OFFICERS. OFFICERS DETERMINED THAT THE DEFENDANT WAS UNABLE TO CARE FOR HIMSELF AND SUBSEQUENTLY PLACED HIM IN CUSTODY.| |
