45-year-old Travis Shane Turner, from North Carolina, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday just after 7 a.m. when police found him slumped over the wheel of his running vehicle in a lane of travel with a blanket over his head. He reportedly had slurred speech and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He refused a breathalyzer and is free on pre-trial release.

| On 12/23/21 at approximately 0709 hours Turner was found slumped over the wheel of his running car with a blanket over his head while in an Eastbound lane of Harding Place.
Upon first contact with Turner had slurred speech. On the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Turner showed 2 of 3 clues with his left eye. Turner’s right eye could not be tested. Turner showed at least 5 of 8 clues on the Walk and Turn. Turner did not perform the One Leg Stand. Turner was taken to the station and read the implied consent law and refused to take the breathalyzer test. Turner had a previous DUI in 1997. |
