Lamin Kamara attacks West Nashville family at their home; they say police were slow to respond

35-year-old Lamin Kamara walked into a family’s yard on Robertson Ave and sat down against the house. When he was approached about being on the property he punched a man in the face and grabbed a woman’s fingers and bent them back, causing an injury to her hand. The victims say it took Metro Nashville approximately 40 minutes to respond to the assault-in-progress. When they arrived, they located Kamara in a neighbor’s yard underneath a lawnmower. They believe he was under the influence of an unknown substance.

Lamin Taye Kamara, of William Howard Place in Nashville, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 19th, charged with two counts of assault, resisting arrest, and public intoxication. a judicial commissioner set his bond at $4,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
