56-year-old James Chester Peet of New York was found passed out in downtown Nashville in an alley near 4th & Broadway in the early hours of Sunday morning. Once he was awoken, officers detected a strong smell of alcohol coming from Peet, and he was obviously too intoxicated to care for himself. As an ambulance was called to assist him, Peet disclosed he had a handgun on his hip. After he declined further medical treatment, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication and possession of a handgun while intoxicated.

James Chester Peet of Smithers Rd in Mexico City, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on October 30th, charged with public intoxication and possession of a handgun while under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,100, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
