Bruce Castille-Johnson charged in two assaults of ex-girlfriend at their home

54-year-old Bruce Johnson-Castille was booked into jail this week on two outstanding domestic violence warrants where his ex-girlfriend, Sharee Shanklin, was the victim. A September 9th incident alleges Bruce threatened to punch her in the face while they were in the backyard and invited her into the house so he could “beat her ass inside.” She says he then lunged at her, causing her to fall and sustain injuries. On October 15th, she says Bruce suddenly grabbed her by the shirt, threw her to the ground, and punched her multiple times in her face and across her body.

Byron Trujillo vs. gas pump in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say 28-year-old Byron Trujillo was pulling on a fuel pump at 9 Hermitage Ave early Wednesday morning in an attempt to damage it. He was seen hitting it and pulling on it. Officers made contact, and it was obvious Trujillo was intoxicated. Due to being a danger to himself, he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

DUI: Jazmyn Turner says she smoked marijuana prior to crash, police say she reeked of perfume & alcohol

27-year-old Jazmyn Turner is charged with DUI after crashing her Chevy Malibu on Bell Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning with a passenger in the vehicle. Officers say she smelled of alcohol and very strong perfume. She says she only smoked marijuana prior to driving — but the DUI charge is identical for either substance. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Alicea Bowker’s DUI: Moscow Mules, Up-Down Bar, French Fries, and a parked car in East Nashville

22-year-old Alicea Bowker is charged with DUI after police say she crashed her red Prius into a Chevy Impala in East Nashville in the early overnight hours of Monday morning. Bowker says she was leaving the Up-Down bar, where she consumed two Moscow Mules, and was reaching for French fries in her vehicle when she hit the Impala, which was parked on the side of the road. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.156% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Robert Brodie to police: “I don’t understand why selling meth is a problem”

42-year-old Robert Brodie was found stumbling along the roadway in downtown Nashville Tuesday evening as officers stopped to check on his welfare. Police say it was immediately obvious he was under the influence of a controlled substance and was unable to care for himself. As he was being taken into custody for public intoxication for his own safety, officers located 3.3 grams in total of multiple small packages of crystal methamphetamine, along with $328 in cash. While at booking, he exclaimed that he “didn’t understand why selling meth is a problem.” He repeatedly claimed not to have any more drugs on him; however, a search at booking revealed an additional 2 grams of meth inside his wallet.
