Former John Overton teacher Travis Prince indicted for solicitation of statutory rape of student

32-year-old former John Overton High School math teacher Travis Boyd Prince has been released on his own recognizance after a Davidson County Grand Jury indicted him on four counts of solicitation of statutory rape of a student. Metro Nashville Public Schools says Prince resigned in late July when the school system was made aware of the allegations during the police investigation. The student moved after the alleged incidents occurred in 2021.

Travis Boyd Prince of Packard Drive in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on November 9th, charged with four counts of solicitation of statutory rape. He was released on his own recognizance without any bond being set.
