Lajuana Wilson intoxicated and “rolling around with her pants down” at East Nashville intersection

36-year-old Lajuana Wilson was found “rolling around with her pants down” at the intersection of Eastland and Gallatin just before 10 a.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to witness this and noticed she was extremely intoxicated. As they attempted to assist her, she began to stumble toward the nearby Aldi store. She was accompanied by her boyfriend and another gentleman, neither of who felt they could properly care for her in her current state. She was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Jamilrah Sanford attacks her baby daddy and his new girlfriend with a Slushie; drags her by the hair

26-year-old Jamilrah Sanford is free on a $3,000 bond after she was jailed for attacking the father of her child, Nicholas Turner, and his new girlfriend, Keri bell, and then throwing a Sluhie on them when she was done with the assault. The incident, which happened in late November at the Urban Air park, began when she approached Nicholas while he was visiting with their son at the location. Jamilrah was reportedly upset that his new girlfriend was present and attempted to punch her in the face. Nicholas reportedly stepped in between his past and future and took the punch. Jamilrah then reportedly followed them as they walked to the front door and grabbed his girlfriend by her hair, and dragged her. Immediately after the assault, Jamilrah approached the couple again and threw a full Slushie on both victims.

Adam Jordan Pritchard indicted on ten counts of sexual contact with a child

42-year-old Adam J. Pritchard is jailed in lieu of a $250,000 bond after the Grand Jury indicted him on two counts of statutory rape and eight counts of sexual battery of a then 15-year-old child. The indictment alleged that in 2020 was in a position of trust or power over the victim and engaged in unlawful sexual contact eight times and engaged in statutory rape twice during that period.

Katerria Dixon left small children in car while shopping at Ross Dress for Less at 100 Oaks

27-year-old Katerria Dixon is charged with leaving her children unattended in her Ford Fusion after Vanderbilt Police received a call from a concerned citizen. The incident happened on December 18th, and VUPD received the call at 9:50 p.m. stating the minor children were alone in a vehicle in the parking lot of Ross Dress for Less at 100 Oaks Mall. Officers were waiting at her vehicle when she returned at 10:01 p.m., and she was issued a state citation.

Amanda Covington charged with DUI after “drinking most of the day”

51-year-old Amanda Covington was driving her black Nissan Altima on I-40 on January 6 with a tag that expired in December of 2021, according to THP Trooper Keith Velez. As he spoke to Covington, he reportedly smelled alcohol coming from her and the vehicle. She stated she had “two small airplane bottles” of alcohol a few hours before driving. She performed poorly on subsequent field sobriety tests and eventually admitted she had been drinking “most of the day, yesterday.” She was transported to St. Thomas Midtown

81-year-old Luther Brooks caught with hand down child’s pants, says depression made him do it

81-year-old Luther Wayne Brooks of the AVIVA Maybelle Carter Senior Living Center was at a residence on January 5th where a young child was present. The child’s mother noticed it was unusually quiet in the room where Brooks and the child were, and she went to check on them. As she entered the room, she observed Luther sitting in a chair and the child standing between his legs, facing outward. Luther’s hand was inside and down the front of the child’s pants, and he was moving his hand around while bouncing the child up and down. As the mother immediately confronted him, Luther stated, “You caught me!” During a recorded phone call with the child’s father and detectives, Luter stated he “was not talking about it” when asked about the situation. He further stated that his depression was to blame, it had gotten worse, and he needed the release.

Troy Smith leaves wet spot on his lover after assault in Nashville hotel

James Shardale Taylor says his lover, 23-year-old Troy Smith, tossed a duffle bag containing his cell phone off of the 5th-floor balcony of their West End hotel late Saturday evening. The two had been arguing as Troy wanted to visit a shopping mall, and James did not want to go. Troy reportedly became “erratic,” causing James to record the interaction. When James said he wanted to level the hotel room, he says Troy told him he would have to fight him to leave the room. He then reportedly snatched the phone away from James and attacked him, strangling him and leaving him with visible injuries to his neck. Troy also poured a beer onto James, leaving him with a wet spot on his shirt. Police arrived and took Troy into custody. The cell phone was retrieved and was damaged as a result of the fall.

Mikel Hawkins charged after attempting to prevent woman from getting medical care

Police say 52-year-old Mikel Ray Hawkins came out of Rippy’s Honky Tonk in downtown Nashville Friday evening with a female, and officers observed they were overly intoxicated. Officers approached the pair and asked them to arrange a ride home via rideshare for their own safety. As they were speaking, the female fell to the ground. Medics were called to the scene and attempted to evaluate the woman, but Mikel refused to allow any treatment and continued to attempt to grab the woman from the ground and leave. Due to his level of intoxication and interference with the situation, Hawkins was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Jennifer Finch kicked out of Nashville hotel for being too drunk

Security at the Home2 Suites by Hilton near Vanderbilt in Nashville say 29-year-old Jennifer Finch was extremely intoxicated and refused to leave a room on the property. Police arrived, and Finch agreed to leave to avoid jail, and officers followed her to the main lobby door near the sidewalk. When she was told she could not leave in her vehicle due to her level of intoxication, Finch refused to walk away. Finch was unable to locate anyone to pick her up or arrange travel to an alternate location, despite multiple attempts. With nowhere else to go, officers took her into custody and charged her with public intoxication.

John Wiggins charged with downtown DUI on Broadway after “two drinks”

Police say 61-year-old John Erik Wiggins was driving on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning when they observed him swerving between lanes. A traffic stop was initiated, and Wiggins was reportedly visibly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. He admitted to consuming “two drinks” prior to driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking, charged with DUI.
