Emily Reyes says she searched the phone of her 21-year-old David Turner, and discovered he was cheating. When she confronted him with the evidence, he reportedly began to hit her in the head, arms, and back of her body. He then reportedly pinned her against a wall until she could not breathe. She left the residence to call 911 from a safe location down the street. Officers met with the victim and located Turner walking down a nearby road. At first, he was cooperative, putting his hands behind his back but then yelled, “SIKE!” and ran away from police, making it about 30 yards before he was tackled by officers.
David Allyn Turner was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 6, charged with evading arrest and aggravated assault/strangulation. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $27,000.
