THP Trooper Healey says 30-year-old Alexander Hankins was “talkative and humorous” after she pulled him over just after 2 a.m. Friday. Hankins reportedly cut in front of the trooper’s car, which was blocking an exit for traffic control purposes. During the interaction, she says Hankins was visibly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to drinking prior to driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
Alexander Rhew Hankins was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 24th, charged with driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
