54-year-old Sharmaine Vestal was observed to be extremely intoxcated and unable to care for herself on 3rd Ave in downtown Nashville late Saturday night. Officers say she reekd of alcohol and refused all medical assistance. She had urinated on herself and could not stand on her own. She was taken into custody to be charged with public intoxication, and en route to booking, she cried out, “I’m peeing! I’m peeing!” while in the backset of the patrol car. During booking, she was ‘side celled’ due to her anger with deputies about her we pants situation until she calmed down to complete the process.
Sharmaine Vera Vestal was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 25th, charged with public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $100.
