Police jail Phoeba Harper, 67, who suffers from dementia, for felony aggravated assault

67-year-old Phoeba Harper is jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond after reportedly pulling a pocket knife on her roommate. Officers arrived at the residence on Dickerson Pike, where a witness and roommate explained Harper had entered the victim’s room as he went to the kitchen and was taking a bracelet. She then produced a knife and stated she was going to cut him if he came near her. Officers went inside to find Harper sitting on the couch while smoking a cigarette. She began to talk to officers about a man who wasn’t there, and officers were informed she suffers from dementia. She was placed into custody and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as the victim stated he was in fear for his life and scared of her. Officers report he appeared “shook” by the experience.

DUI: Soldier Dustin Lehrke had five drinks and a muscle relaxer before driving

26-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Dustin Lehrke told police he had taken a muscle relaxer and drank five alcoholic beverages within the timespan of one hour as he traveled through a St. Patrick’s Day roadblock near Lewis County Store late Friday night. As he spoke with officer Groeneweg, he was “robotic” in his responses and showed multiple signs of intoxication. He performed poorly on two of the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. A blood draw was completed at a nearby hospital.

DUI: Cole Ferguson charged after early morning crash in Madison

36-year-old Cole Ferguson crashed his vehicle in Madison in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to police. As they responded to the scene, they spoke with Ferguson, who had slurred speech and reeked of alcohol. He declined all sobriety testing, but did admit to having a few drinks and that he had just left work and was trying to get home. He was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Street racer Aubren Ferrante flees from police twice & crashes during Antioch rampage

Police say 18-year-old street racer Aubren Ferrante was spinning the tires of his Dodge Charger in the parking lot of an Antioch KFC when they attempted a traffic stop. Ferrante fled from the parking lot, drove around multiple police vehicles, and drove across traffic onto Bell road. Apparent he was not going to stop, MNPD ceased the pursuit. Another unit observed him entering the parking lot of a nearby Thornton’s, where a second traffic stop was initiated.

Ferrante dodged police a second time and avoided multiple vehicle blocks from officers. As he fled a second time, he turned into the parking lot of a Waffle house, which had no other outlet. He dodged a third vehicle block, crashed into a patrol car, and then drove over a curb, where his car was high-centered and disabled. He was taken into custody on multiple felony charges.

Shawn Chapman jailed after not paying bar tab in downtown Nashville

29-year-old Shawn Chapman was drinking at a downtown bar just after 2 p.m. Saturday when police were alerted he was attempting to leave the location without paying his open bar tab. Security had Chapman detained when police arrived. Officers observed him to be extremely intoxicated and took him into custody for public intoxication. Management did not want to prosecute for theft of services at the time of the arrest.

Tourist Willem Morin found passed out drunk in downtown Nashville

26-year-old Willem Morin was found passed out in the parking area of the Hilton Hotel in downtown Nashville just after 1 a.m. Saturday. Officers were unsuccessful in waking him, despite using sternum rubs. Medics were dispatched, and by that time, he was partially alert and was medically cleared. He was unable to verbalize where he was at or where he was staying, and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

23-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Jedidiah Marlow was jailed early Saturday morning after off-duty Metro Nashville Police Officer Nelson Chandler Hemingway, who working a secondary job as security for a construction site, says he ripped down the yellow caution tape at a job site in downtown Nashville. The officer charged him with “tampering with construction signs and barricades” as he reportedly stumbled through the construction tape, ripping it down. He was additionally charged with public intoxication.

Finian Nolan lost and found in downtown Nashville — public intoxication

22-year-old Finian Carl Nolan was found in the lobby of 515 Church Street in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Friday morning, believing it was his hotel. A citizen called police, noting that he was not a guest of the building. Officers arrived to check on his welfare and found him extremely intoxicated and unable to convey what hotel he was actually staying at. Unable to be left alone, he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

DUI: Jared Lowe crashes into pole after leaving Scoreboard Bar & Grill

24-year-old Jared Lowe told police he consumed “three or four beers” at Scoreboard Bar & Grill late Friday night before driving off the roadway on McGavock Pike and knocking down a utility pole, leaving wires hanging across the roadway. Officers responded to the scene, where a witness stated Lowe tossed a bottle out of his window prior to their arrival. Officers retrieved the half-empty Miller Light bottle, and Lowe admitted it was his. He later blew a 0.115& BAC on a breathalyzer.

Maria Hensley remains jailed for making “finger gun” gestures on Broadway in downtown Nashville

41-year-old Maria Hensley was at the front door of Rippy’s Honky Tonk on Broadway in downtown Nashville making “finger gun” gestures to staff and patrons. The manager of Rippy’s flagged down nearby officers, who placed her into custody, stating “she was engaging in an act that served no legitimate purpose and was causing many people to feel uncomfortable.” She was transported to booking and charged with disorderly conduct. She has remained jailed for three days, unable to post a $50 bond.
