Nicholas Perrino charged in movie-worthy heist of Great Pyrenees dog from Nashville home

Police say 76-year-old Nicholas Perrino drove his white Cadillac Escalade from Woodstock, IL, to an alley behind Veron Winfrey Ave in Nashville in August 2022. He retrieved tools and gloves from the rear of the vehicle and then began working on a locked gate at the residence as a female exited the vehicle and joined him as the gate was defeated. He then drilled through a lock of the residence and made entry inside, where he took a Great Pyrenees dog belonging to Tiffay Spencer, which the female accomplice assisted in getting into their vehicle. Warrants were issued, and a Grand Jury indictment was obtained. Perrino was booked into custody this week.

Brennan Spiller, 19, charged with DUI after interstate crash

19-year-old Brennan Spiller was standing on the shoulder of I-40 after wrecking his 2006 Mazda in late January with a bloody nose and a busted lip. He admitted he was the driver, but when officers remarked that he smelled like alcohol, Spiller stated he wasn’t speaking to officers any further about the incident. Officers located several opened alcoholic beverages inside the crashed car. Medics had to hold him up to get to the ambulance, as he could not stand on his own. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and issued citations related to the DUI. He was booked on those charges this week.

D’Ante VanNuck charged with drag racing in Nashville

25-year-old D’Ante VanNuck is charged with drag racing after police say he rolled down the window of his 2019 black Dodge Charger at a Murfreesboro Pike intersection, interacted with the driver of a red Ford Mustang beside him, and the two raced down the roadway at a high rate of speed after sitting for a period of time after the light turned green. VanNuck was stopped on I-40 after officers caught up with the vehicle and charged with drag racing.
