DUI: Alex Williams “I am not about that” (DUI Tests)

30-year-old Alex Williams was charged with DUI Saturday night after security from Losers Bar & Grill contacted Metro Nashville Police about his erratic driving near patrons. Security had asked him to leave the location and notified police, who arrived to find him pulling into the parking area for the venue. He parked across the lines and was visibly intoxicated. Officers described his mental state as “confused.” He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and an empty New Amsterdam Vodka bottle was found on the floorboard of the vehicle. When asked if he would agree to breath or blood testing, Williams replied, “I am not about that.”

DUI: Ivoree Lee says he got so high at Buds & Brews he couldn’t drive home

23-year-old Ivoree Lee says he was at Buds & Brews, Nashville’s Cannabis Bar and Restaurant, Friday night, where he smoked “enough” and was so “high” that he went outside and got behind the wheel of his vehicle in an attempt to “sleep it off” before driving. He states he only had “a sip” of his girlfriend’s drink. When officers arrived he had watery eyes which were bloodshot, and he almost fell asleep during their interaction. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI as he was behind the wheel with the key in his possession.

Zachary Vega passed out in a parking lot in downtown Nashville

28-year-old Zachary Vega was observed to be passed out inside a vehicle during a regular patrol of the parking lot at 101 Broadway late Friday night. Medics arrived, but he awakened and refused all assistance. He was unable to contact anyone to take him to a safe place and was too intoxicated to be left to care for himself. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Antonio Carmargo: 0; Downtown Nashville: 1

33-year-old Antonio Carmargo was found unconscious and vomit-covered in front of Bootleggers Inn on Broadway late Saturday evening. Officers conducted a welfare check and paramedics responded. He eventually came to and refused all assistance. Unable to care for himself, he was then taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Canadian Michael Mackay jailed after smacking woman on her buttocks at Dream Hotel

42-year-old Canadian Michael Scott Mackay was jailed in Nashville this weekend after police say he used both hands to smack the buttocks of a woman at the bar inside the Dream Hotel. Courtney Williams says she was with a group of five friends at the hotel bar on the first floor, and Mackay approached her multiple times throughout the evening, and she continued to tell him to get away from her. The final time he approached her, he walked up from behind and “smacked her butt with both of his hands at the same time.” Hotel security was alerted, and they escorted Mackay up to his room. Police arrived and reviewed the incident, which was captured by security cameras.

Jacob Manley bounced from Luke Bryan’s Bar in downtown Nashville

30-year-old Jacob Manley was bounced from Luke Bryan’s bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning. As he was escorted to the sidewalk his disruptive behavior continued and caught the attention of nearby officers. He was given the opportunity to leave multiple times but refused. Due to his level of intoxication, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication. As he was being escorted to the patrol car, Manley let his feet drag making it difficult to secure him inside the vehicle.

Renee Huffman: drunk and alone in downtown Nashville

31-year-old Renee Huffman was observed by Metro Nashville Police at 5th & Broadway to be unsteady on her feet and extremely intoxicated. She told officers she was downtown by herself and did not have any friends she could contact to take her home or to a safe place. When asked if she could produce her cell phone, she handed officers her wallet and medications, instead. For her safety, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Nashville Police arrest Zatrion Williams for giving away Nitrous Oxide ballons in downtown Nashville

21-year-old Zatrion Williams was jailed this weekend by Metro Nashville Police on a $10,000 bond after he was found to be giving away balloons filled with nitrous oxide in downtown Nashville. Officers report observing a “large gathering of individuals with balloons in a festive state” and went to investigate their happiness. They found Williams freely distributing the balloon, which he was filling from a large Nitrous Oxide canister. He stated he tours with bands and gives the ballons away as it was “part of the culture.” Metro Nashville Police seized two tanks and took Williams into custody, charging him with felony sales/delivery of toxic fumes.

Joey Ortega knocks his boyfriend out with a punch to the face at Tootsie’s in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say 35-year-old Joey Ortega punched his boyfriend, Andrew Beck, in the face as they were approached the couple outside Tootsie’s on Broadway in downtown Nashville Friday night. A verbal argument attracted the attention of police initially, and as they approached, Ortega cocked his fist back and released it, landing his boyfriend on the sidewalk. He was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury.
