30-year-old Sam Miley was jailed on May 9th when police responded to a call regarding someone intoxicated in a vehicle. Police observed Miley behind the wheel of the vehicle that was parked but running. She smelled of alcohol and had red eyes. She admitted to drinking and agreed to perform field sobriety tests. Police asked her if there were any medical issues that would prevent her from successfully completing the tasks, to which she replied there was not. Miley also performed the sobriety tests in her high heels and showed signs of impairment on every single test. Police found a half-empty bottle of Jose Cuervo Tequila and the passenger’s side floorboard. She agreed to a breath test and blew a .216% BAC on the breathalyzer.
Samantha Jo Miley of Knolls Place in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 9, charged with driving under the influence (DUI), and violation of the open container law. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $2,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
