37-year-old Timothy Basford punched the head of security at Red Door Saloon in the mouth while being escorted out on September 1st. Police spoke to the head of security, Wayne Young, who said he was escorting Timothy out because he was extremely intoxicated. Before Timothy punched him, he said some words were exchanged between them. Wayne said that he was able to detain and handcuff Timothy. Police noticed a laceration on Wayne’s lip and saw that Timothy had signs of intoxication. Medics told Wayne that his cut would require stitches. While walking Timothy to the patrol vehicle, he lunged at Wayne and headbutted him in the chest. Several witnesses told the police that they saw Timothy punch Wayne first.

Timothy Basford of 37th Ave N in Nashville, TN, was booked into Metro Nashville Jail on September 1st, charged with assault and public intoxication. He is free on a $2,200 bond.
