32-year-old Tabitha Tamberlin was jailed in Nashville late Saturday night after drunkenly attempting to steal a man’s dog outside Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville. The victim told police that Tamberlin approached him outside of the bar and wanted to pet his dog, which he allowed. As she was petting the pooch, she attempted to pick up the dog and flee. He contacted nearby police, who detained everyone to investigate the situation. Tamberlin told police she felt the man “didn’t deserve the dog” and felt the dog was endangered, so she was taking it. The victim didn’t wish to prosecute; he only wanted her to leave him alone. Due to her intoxicated state, Tamberlin was given the opportunity to call someone to retrieve her, but she refused to leave and insisted on taking the man’s dog. She was taken into custody and transported to booking.
