24-year-old Canadian tourist Owen Boisvert was banging on windows, attempting to break into cars near TownePlace Suites by Marriott in the early hours of March 9th. When officers arrived, they located Boisvert trespassing outside the hotel, where he told them nothing had happened. Boisvert advised officers that he was waiting for the business to open so he could “buy some fried chicken.” Officers noticed a large amount of blood coming from Boisvert’s hand, and when asked about it, he stated, “I put my hand down a thing, and it started bleeding.” Detectives observed bloody handprints on the vehicle that Boisvert tried breaking into and was advised that the location had a valid trespass waiver on Boisvert. Officers asked Boisvert for his identification, which he said he didn’t have. Eventually, Boisvert gave officers his ID, stating he was from Canada. This prevented officers from running a criminal history check. Boisvert kept repeating the same questions, showing signs of intoxication. Boisvert’s behavior prompted officers to ask if he had consumed anything intoxicating, to which he denied. Despite Boisvert’s denial, officers noticed him reeking of alcohol and having dilated pupils, consistent with the consumption of stimulant narcotics. Boisvert told officers he was staying at an Airbnb but would not tell them where it was. When assisting officers arrived, they told the other officers that they had passed Boisvert earlier in the night. Assisting officers advised they saw Boisvert screaming and cursing at officers as they drove by. Dispatch also advised that there were multiple calls about Boisvert. Boisvert was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and criminal trespassing.
