64-year-old Arthur McQuiston Jr. was openly carrying a firearm at a Metro Park on May 12th. Officers observed this and approached him, and McQuiston told them he was the volunteer security guard at an event occurring at the park. McQuiston could not provide officers with a security license or a handgun permit. While verifying his handgun status, officers discovered he was convicted of a felony in 1998. McQuiston was taken into custody for being a felon in possession of a handgun.
Arther D McQuiston Jr. of Anthes Drive in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 12th, charged with felony possession of a firearm. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $3,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
