58-year-old Diane Crump had a domestic altercation with her adult daughter, Brittney Crump, at their residence late June 10th. Diane told responding officers that Brittney was being disrespectful and said she wanted her “put out.” When officers went to the door, Brittney unlocked the latch and answered the door, telling them that she was bathing her kids when her mom had suddenly become upset because she did not want to help with them. While outside, Diane told officers, “I am going to kill her,” and then entered the residence, sparking an argument, during which she retrieved a hammer from the kitchen and acted as if she was going to hit her with it, so they detained her. Diane explained that she grabbed the hammer to knock off the latch since Brittney kept locking it. Diane Crump was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Diane R Crump of Dellway Villa Road in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 10th, charged with aggravated assault. She is free on a $15,000 bond.
