48-year-old Terry Brett Reed had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Wendelin Brown, at their Hickory Highlands apartment in the early hours of June 3rd. Brown spoke with responding officers, telling them that she and Reed had an altercation the night before over him getting texts from another woman. She said another argument sparked that day after he received another message, during which she walked outside to calm down. Brown stated she asked him if she could go through his phone, which he refused, so she disregarded him and grabbed his phone from the counter. Reed got up, grabbed her by her neck, and slammed her against the wall. Brown said after that, she pushed him to get away and accidentally scratched his face. He then released her and walked outside. Brown added that when she closed the door and locked it behind him, he started banging on it and ended up breaking it before grabbing her hair, hitting her in the back of her head, and leaving. Officers noticed Brown had visible injuries from the assault, so they obtained a warrant for Reed’s arrest, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault on June 8th.
Terry Brett Reed of Hickory Highlands Dr in Antioch, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 8th, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. He is free on a $2,500 bon.
