31-year-old Shaetha Mahinda had a domestic altercation with her partner, Louis Aguilar, at their Placemakr Premier SoBro Nashville Hotel room late Friday night. Upon arrival, responding officers tried to get Aguilar’s statement numerous times but were unsuccessful. When they asked if he could explain the cuts and scratches on his neck, chest, and arms, he told them he had fallen earlier in the night. Aguilar’s injuries did not indicate that, so officers went to speak with Mahinda, who appeared visibly impaired. Officers had Mahinda take a seat because she could not stand without swaying. During Mahinda’s interaction with officers, she repeatedly told them, “Whatever Louis said.” When they asked her for elaboration, she would giggle and say, “Whatever Louis said,” each time. A hotel security officer said he had seen the couple arguing in the hallway outside their room. He added that Mahinda threw multiple things at Aguilar, including an Xbox controller. Shaetha Mahinda was then taken into custody for domestic assault.
Shaetha Mahinda of North Deborah Road in Palm Springs, CA, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 22nd, charged with domestic assault. She is free on a $1,500 bond.
