26-year-old Teylor Davis had an altercation with Officer Giuseppe Scalzo around 2:30 a.m. on July 14th. Additional officers and Scalzo were investigating an unrelated incident when Davis approached them, wanting to talk about a prior event. Then, after Scalzo explained that he would assist her once he finished his current call, Davis became agitated and interrupted his investigation. Scalzo told Davis she needed to step back, causing her to become more hostile. This sparked an argument where Davis pushed Scalzo in the shoulder. Then, officers attempted to place her in handcuffs. However, Davis pulled her arms away, trying to break free from their grasp until they put her on the ground and detained her. She continued to be resistive as they placed her in the back of the patrol car. Davis was taken into custody for the assault of an officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Teylor Davis of S Hampton Place in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 14th, charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault of an officer. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,600, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
