28-year-old Stefan Sinovic and several others caused a disturbance at the Central Pike apartment complex on July 15th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the group and asked them to leave, to which Sinovic responded, “The pool does not close until 10 p.m.” Then, when officers informed him that it was 10:03 p.m., he argued that because he pays $1400 for an apartment at the location, he should be able to stay at the pool after hours. After this, officers spoke with an employee who was on the phone with the property manager. Both of them said they asked Sinovic to leave multiple times and that it was not the first time he had issues there. Police warned Sinovic to leave, but he refused to gather his belongings, got in their faces, and continued arguing with them. Officers told Sinovic that he was under arrest and tried detaining him, during which he pulled away, trying to “face up” with them. Officers gently took him to the ground and placed him in handcuffs. After officers stood him up, he did not want to walk, so they had to carry him to their patrol car. During their interaction, they noticed he reeked of alcohol and showed signs of intoxication. After medics cleared Sinovic for booking, he then was taken into custody for public intoxication, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Stefaan Sinovic was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 15th, charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and trespass. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,000.
