39-year-old Matthew Curtis Bain had a domestic altercation with his wife, Tami Bain, near Acme Feed & Seed in the early hours of July 30th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Tami, who was visibly intoxicated with multiple abrasions on her body. She then advised officers that she and Matthew only had a verbal dispute. Tami then insisted that she had not been assaulted.
Officers were informed that Matthew fled before they arrived. Witnesses explained that they observed Matthew attacking his wife, adding that she was screaming out for help. One of the witnesses, Bobby Victory, stated he had to pull Matthew off Tami because he was mounted on top of her, pulling her hair. Officers eventually located Mr. Bain in the area, where he denied hitting Tami. Matthew Bain was then taken into custody for domestic assault.
Matthew Curtis Bain of 21st Avenue North in South St. Paul, Minnesota, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 30th, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $2,500 bond.
