34-year-old Mike Palarz was visibly intoxicated near Demonbreun Street and 6th Avenue South late August 9th. Officers encountered Palarz and noticed he reeked of alcohol while showing signs of impairment. Officers then tried helping him get a hotel room at Hyatt House. After helping Palarz get his room and key, he refused to go to his room.
Palarz then sat down in the public dining area on the first floor. Palarz started walking away from officers, so they deemed him a danger to himself. When officers went to detain Palarz, he refused to stop walking. Palarz pushed officers’ hands away until they placed him on the ground and detained him for the occurrence. Palarz was taken into custody for resisting arrest and public intoxication.
Mike Palarz of North Denal Street in Norridge, IL, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 9th, charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,100, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
