46-year-old Misty Manson had a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 440 East near Mile Marker 7.4 in the early hours of August 17th. Responding officers could not locate the vehicle and then were informed via dispatch that Manson said she drove away and pulled into a Murfreesboro Pike shopping outlet parking lot. When the police arrived, they spoke with Manson, who reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment.
Manson told officers that she had left a downtown Nashville bar and was approaching the I-24 West entrance ramp when she had gone off the roadway and struck a concrete barrier. Manson consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After being read implied consent, she agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.195% BAC. Under Miranda, Manson admitted to consuming alcohol before driving. Manson was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Misty D. Manson of McCrory Drive in Lebanon, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 17th, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
