Musician Kyler Sullivan had “too much” fireball before early morning crash

23-year-old Musician Kyler Sullivan crashed his car on Rockwood Dr. approximately 25 minutes after taking two shots of Fireball in the early hours of Sunday morning. Officers were dispatched to Rockwood Dr. at 2:15 a.m. regarding a vehicle crash and observed Sullivan standing beside his car as they arrived. Sullivan was visibly intoxicated and told officers he had “too much” when asked if he had anything to drink. Medics on the scene treated Sullivan, but he refused further treatment or transport. Officers asked how much Sullivan had to drink again as they Mirandized him, and he told them he took two shots of Fireball around 1:50 a.m. Sullivan consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Elijah Okesson charged with mushrooms and marijuana on Belmont campus

19-year-old Elijah Okesson was charged with drug possession on August 21 after staff at Belmont University searched his shared dorm room. Staff were notified of the smell of marijuana coming from the room and spoke to his Okesson, who emptied his pockets at the request of staff. A marijuana vape pen was produced, resulting in a full search of the room, per the school’s policy. Inside the dorm room were 28 grams of suspected marijuana in a backpack that reportedly belonged to Okesson, along with 28 grams of mushrooms, a digital scale, and a bond used with THC wax. He was issued citations for two counts of drug possession and drug paraphernalia. Okesson and was booked on the charges this week.

Belmont student Jackson Buch charged after staff found marijuana in dorm room

20-year-old Jackson Buch was charged with drug possession on August 21 after staff at Belmont University searched his shared dorm room. Staff were notified of the smell of marijuana coming from the room and initially spoke to his roommate, who emptied his pockets at the request of staff. A marijuana vape pen was produced, resulting in a full search of the room, per the school’s policy. Inside the dorm room were 31 grams of suspected marijuana in a backpack that reportedly belonged to Buch. He was issued a citation for drug possession and was booked on the charge this week.

William Holden charged in brutal assault of Arden Belanger

21-year-old William Holden was jailed Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging him with the brutal assault of Arden Belanger. The warrant details that Holden threw Belanger to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked him until witnesses were able to pull him off of the victim. Belanger suffered a bloody nose, facial lacerations, and a sprained ankle as a result of the attack.

DUI: Arjun Kaczor charged after crashing into utility pole on West End

25-year-old Arjun Kaczor was stumbling around outside his white BMW sedan when officers responded to 31st & Park Plaza in the early hours of Saturday morning. Kaczor had just crashed his car into a utility pole and was treated at the scene by Nashville Fire Medics. Officers say he reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Kaczor was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Johnny Vereecken charged in domestic assault after both parties claim the other is at fault

Metro Nashville Police responded to a domestic disturbance call just after 10 p.m. Sunday after officers say both parties attempted to report the other for assault. 30-year-old Johnny Vereecken told police he was just lying in bed when his girlfriend, Debbie Williams, just came in and began punching him on his back, and then punched him in the chest as picked her up and moved her out of the way when he attempted to get up to walk the dogs.

Debbie had a much different story and told police they had been having relationship issues. Earlier on Sunday, she says she caught him at a bar when he stated he was somewhere else. She says they were arguing about their relationship when he picked her up from behind and chipped her tooth with his hand as he placed her back on the ground. She says only after her tooth was chipped did he call 911 and claim he was also assaulted. Police say both parties were drinking, and each claimed the other was the primary aggressor. Due to the girlfriend’s injuries and other factors, Vereecken was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.
