Taylor York charged after slapping husband at Nashville Airport

33-year-old Taylor York was seen by police arguing with her husband, James Allen York III, at Nashville International Airport. They spoke to Taylor and James, who both confirmed that Taylor slapped James. Taylor said that she took the argument too far, and police saw the incident on camera. Taylor was deemed the primary aggressor and was cited for domestic assault on July 22nd. She was placed into booked on the charge this week.

Julia Lange charged with assault of her friend at Margaritaville hotel in Nashville

49-year-old Julia Lange was seen by security at Margaritaville Hotel on Rep John Lewis Way slapping Melinda Olson in the face several times. They told police of the incident when they arrived on Friday morning. Security also told police that she took Melinda’s key card to the hotel room and left Melinda in the lobby. Melinda was escorted back upstairs, and when Julia answered the door, she was verbally abusive towards Melinda. Police heard a scuffle inside as well as a voice saying, “I will kill you,” and “Why did you hit me?” Then they heard a slapping sound, they knocked, and Julia opened the door. Inside, police could see Melinda lying on the room floor with blood on her face and knee. When they asked Melinda what happened, she told police that Julia hit her in the face. Police observed injuries to Melinda’s knee, nose, and neck. Melinda had no injuries before entering the room. Julia was determined to be the primary aggressor and was charged with domestic assault.

Brooklyn Waterman charged with public intoxication in downtown Nashville

32-year-old Brooklyn Waterman Friday morning was trying to tell police at the Central Police Precinct which hotel she was staying in after being found drunk and disorderly in downtown Nashville. Police described her as having several indications of being drunk, and she could only tell police that she was staying at the hotel with “Place” in the name. Brooklyn said that she did not know where she was at. Police, after she said that the hotel was on “3rd and Broadway,” called around and could not find the hotel where she or her husband was staying. They drove her to three different hotels to try and have her get her own room, but she did not have any means to pay for it. After they called her mother and her husband several times and not getting an answer, they booked her for public intoxication because they thought she would be a danger to herself.

Evan Greene jailed after drunkenly pulling on doors of lawyer’s office in downtown Nashville

31-year-old Evan Greene was reportedly pulling doors to get into the Law Office of Bernie McEvoy on 2nd Ave. MNPD officers found Evan, and he was unsteady on his feet, smelled like alcohol, had slurred speech, and eyes were glossy. He told police that he was staying at a hotel nearby, but police checked with the hotel, who said they did not have a reservation for Evan. Police noted several abrasions to Evan’s body, which they determined were from him falling several times the night before. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Donal Rodriguez-Avalos attacks girlfriend when she attempts to go out with a friend

25-year-old Donal Alexander Rodriguez-Avalos attacked his lover when she was leaving to go out with her friend, according to police. Sarahi Valle, Donal’s wife, told police that when they arrived Wednesday at her residence on Anderson Rd., Donal beat her. She said that when she was leaving to go out with her friend Donal grabbed her, hit her in the face, tried to pull her upstairs, threw her on the couch, and strangled her with one hand. She said that she did not lose consciousness but struggled to breathe. Police asked if she believed he intended to kill her, and she said that she did not know. Paramedics were observing Sarahi before she was transported to Southern Hills Hospital. Police observed bruising on her face, a bloodied, swollen lip, scratches on her neck and back, and blood inside her ears that EMS found. She said the scratches on her back were from him attempting to pull her up the stairs.

Deon Brown flees from police after burglarizing vehicles

18-year-old Deon Brown was witnessed burglarizing vehicles at Rivrhouse Apartments, and then he ran from police. Officers arrived at Riverhouse Apartments early Wednesday morning and after they spoke to Mr. Schnarrs on a call. Mr. Scnarrs said that he saw an african american male burgle vehicles at the complex and was currently inside a white Chevy Suburban. When the police arrived, they saw Deon in the Suburban, who matched Mr. Scharrs’s description. When they attempted to make contact with Deon, he ran from them down Middleton St. towards Nance Ave with two objects in his hands. Deon ditched the items at Academy Pl. and Hermitage Ave., and police pursued him until they caught him at Lindsley Ave.

Mr. Brooks, who owned the Suburban, said he was missing two machetes and a tobacco grinder from his vehicle, which totaled approximately $60. He also said that he did not know how Deon gained access to his vehicle due to no signs of forced entry. Mr. Schnarrs participated in a show-up where he positively identified Deon as the subject. Deon told police he took the machetes and ditched them, but his tobacco grinder was his. The grinder was found and given back to Mr. Brooks. Ring camera footage showed Deon getting into the Suburban while the alarm went off and taking items, but it was hard to identify the items due to the camera being so far away.

Mapco employee Moises Beas let man inside to loot lottery tickets and cigarettes

24-year-old Moises Beas let a man into the Mapco he was working at while it was closed, and the man stole from the store. On July 13th, Moises worked at the Mapco on Bell Rd in Antioch and cleaned the store while it was briefly closed. While cleaning, security footage showed him meet Renas Kestay at the front door. He briefly went outside and spoke with Renas then the two both entered the store. Moises went to the backroom and continued cleaning while Renas filled a trash bag with approximately $1,195 worth of lottery tickets and cigarettes. Moises leaned into the camera view to see if Renas was done stealing. He wrote a statement saying that he knowingly let Renas into the store to steal while he looked away. He was placed under arrest for theft of merchandise on August 16th.

DUI: Deanne Vonier says she ‘licked the baggie’ of a white powdery substance before crash

57-year-old Deanne Vonier was transported to Vanderbilt after a car accident where nurses found a small baggie in her bra. Police found Deanne’s vehicle rolled over at the accident scene while medics treated her. Witnesses said they saw Deanne’s car hit a curb several times, hit three mailboxes, drive into a yard, hit a hill, and go airborne. While at Vanderbilt, nurses found a baggie of white powdery substance in her bra. She said that she crashed because she was dehydrated. Later she said she did not ingest any of the baggy of white powdery substance but licked the bag. Police reported Deanne’s pupils to be pinpointed. She was cited for DUI on July 28th but was arrested on August 14th.

Joseph Titus cited for DUI after eating half a 25mg edible; said “my life is over!”

23-year-old Joseph Titus told police his “life was over” while in the back of an ambulance after a car accident. Police arrived at the car accident scene on July 21st and found Joseph being extricated from his vehicle. While he was in the ambulance heading to Southern Hills Hospital, he told police that “his life was over” and elaborated that “I knew I shouldn’t be driving but wanted to try.” He told police that he had eaten half of a twenty-five milligram edible and had two drinks at the bar before driving. He refused to perform sobriety tests and was cited for DUI. He was placed into custody for the DUI on August 14th.

DUI: Jennifer Gordon says she felt “tipsy” after crash

54-year-old Jennifer Gordon said she felt “tipsy” to an officer after she rear-ended another vehicle at a red light. Police found Jennifer in her car at the accident scene on Gallatin Pike South and Harris St. She admitted to police that she did drink but could not say how much, and police found an open container of alcohol in her vehicle. Also, she told police that she was currently intoxicated and felt “tipsy.” Police placed her into custody for DUI after she performed field sobriety tests.
