The conflict started when Finchum came home and found Gass intoxicated. When he saw her, he began to argue with her, but the argument escalated when Gass cornered her in the laundry room. Gass grabbed a bottle of Lysol laundry sanitizer and poured it on her head, causing her eyes to become red and appear irritated. Finchum ran to the bathroom, where she changed her shirt and flushed her eyes with water.

Officers arrived and spoke to Gass about the information that Finchum provided. He told them that nothing physical happened. Officers entered the laundry room and found a bottle of Lysol laundry sanitizer lying on the floor with a puddle of liquid around it. Gass was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

62-year-old Katherine Presley was involved in a domestic altercation with her husband, William Presley, at Wiley Street on December 16th. When Officers made contact with Katherine, she informed them that William had been drinking and started to get verbally aggressive with her. William began to call Katherine out of her name. This led to Katherine becoming upset and retaliating by smacking William in the face, causing a red bruise on his cheek. After being hit, William attempted to raise his arm to protect himself from further attacks, but Katherine grabbed that arm and scratched it, leaving minor cuts on his forearms. Katherine Williams was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Marie Waller scratches boyfriend’s face during argument

21-year-old Marie Waller was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Cedric Cole, on December 11th. The dispute began with an argument over the recent loss of Waller’s close friend. Cole then left the conversation to finish his food in another room. When he returned to the room, the argument escalated, and when he approached Waller, she scratched his head, causing minor cuts to his face below his eye and above his ear. Cole then held Waller down until she told him that she couldn’t breathe. Upon releasing her, Waller retaliated by taking a lamp next to the couch and throwing it at him, but Cole was able to catch the lamp and put it down. Waller then ran to a different room and locked herself inside until Cole called the police. Waller was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Maurice Bacon douses boyfriend in mouthwash, throws PlayStation controller off balcony

24-year-old Maurice Bacon was involved in a domestic altercation with his boyfriend, Terence Doston, at 1st Avenue North in the intermediate hours of Sunday morning. The dispute began with the couple being engaged in an argument that escalated when they grabbed each other by their clothing. Doston suggested to law enforcement that he had taken some drugs before the argument in the morning. Bacon told officers that Doston had used a pair of scissors to cut the sweater he was wearing. When Doston was approached about the subject, he had a scratch on his face, which he stated came from a physical altercation after the argument. Doston said that Bacon threw his PlayStation controller off the balcony and threw mouthwash on him and his belongings. When Bacon was questioned about the information Doston provided, he admitted to officers that he had thrown his PlayStation controller out the window as well as thrown mouthwash at him and his belongings. Bacon was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and vandalism.

Yersson Peters-Davila assaults girlfriend during argument outside Honky Tonk Central

24-year-old Yersson Peters-Davila had a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, Heilyn Montoya-Rodriguez, in front of Honky Tonk Central in the early hours of December 17th. Officers were patrolling Broadway when they observed Peters-Davila arguing with Montoya-Rodriguez before striking her in the face with an open hand, causing her to stagger back and almost fall. He then walked toward her, so she swung her purse at him in self-defense as officers shouted at Peters-Davila to stop and got between them. Peters-Davila used his chest to push away from officers to get to Montoya-Rodriguez and continued to pull his arms away but was eventually detained. He was taken into custody for domestic assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Christopher Grove assaults girlfriend during infidelity argument because she “turned off his PlayStation”

29-year-old Christopher Grove was involved in a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Maria Schmid, on Murfreesboro Pike in the early hours of December 15th. She stated that Grove went through her phone and accused her of infidelity. This sparked a verbal altercation, leading to her turning off his PlayStation because he was not listening to her. Grove stood up and pushed her into the kitchen counter, resulting in her hip bruising. Then, he reportedly shoved her onto the ground, so she ripped a piece of his hair out in self-defense. Grove spoke with officers and repeatedly switched up his story regarding the incident. Officers observed a piece of hair on the bed and visible injuries on Schmid, consistent with her story. Grove was deemed the primary aggressor and taken into custody for domestic assault.

19-year-old Connor Smith elbows mother in face leaving McDonald’s

19-year-old Connor Smith had a domestic dispute with his brother, Keith Smith, and mother, Karen Burrum, while on the way home from McDonald’s on Nolensville Pike the night of December 17th. Officers arrived at their shared residence on Roxanne Drive, spoke with them, and were advised that Keith was driving Connor and Karen home when Connor asked to go to McDonald’s. An argument ensued between Keith and Conor as they left McDonald’s, and it escalated when Connor unbuckled his seatbelt, reached over the center compartment, and swung, hitting Keith while he was still driving. Keith pulled over to the side of the road, and Karen got out of the vehicle to break up the physical altercation by opening Connor’s door. Amid the action, Connor hit her in the face with his elbow, resulting in significant swelling and bruising. She eventually broke up the fight, and Connor exited the vehicle. All parties refused medical attention, and Connor was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Ebony Maldonado assaults man during altercation

23-year-old Ebony Maldonado was jailed Wednesday evening after assaulting a man on Lebanon Pike. Efren Granados told police that Maldonado placed her hands around his neck and pushed him. He advised that she never strangled him. When police spoke with Maldonado, she admitted to placing her hands around Efren’s neck and pushing him. She was then placed into custody and transported to booking.

18-year-old Katherine Eubanks throws knife at brother during dispute

18-year-old Katherine Eubanks was involved in a domestic dispute with her brother, Jack Eubanks, at their shared residence on Tuesday afternoon. Jack advised that Katherine poured orange juice on him during a verbal altercation. He decided to walk away to prevent the feud from escalating and heard a loud thud while walking in the backyard. Jack stated he looked down, saw a knife near him, and called 911. Katherine locked herself inside the house and refused to open the door. Her dad, Craig Eubanks, and Jack unlocked the door and found her in her bedroom. She did not deny throwing the knife and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Seantae Demoss reportedly assaults boyfriend in his car

21-year-old Seantae Demoss was booked on December 12th after reportedly assaulting her boyfriend when a disagreement took a violent turn. While officers sat on Dupont Avenue, a black Dodge Challenger pulled in next to them. James Briggs told officers that he had just gotten into a physical altercation with Ms. Demoss. At that moment, Demoss got out of the front passenger’s seat, into the driver’s seat, and left with Mr. Briggs’ vehicle. He told officers that he and his girlfriend started arguing while on their way to a gas station nearby to get some snacks so they could watch a movie at her apartment. While at a stop sign on Dupont Avenue and Delaware Avenue, Demoss became very upset and started hitting Briggs in the face. Briggs explained that he tried to bring Demoss back to her apartment, but she refused to leave the car, which is why he pulled up to officers when he saw them. Police found Demoss at the address provided by Briggs. She was standing outside beside his vehicle and stated that she had just got back from a friend’s house when she and her boyfriend started arguing. She later admitted to hitting him in his chest, not his face, and wouldn’t go into detail about what the argument was about.
