Drunk tourist Joel Weisberger arrested while getting a courtesy ride in patrol car to his hotel

Metro Nashville Police were involved with an unrelated call in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Friday morning when they were flagged down and directed to 37-year-old Joel Weisberger, who was becoming aggressive toward other citizens. Officers observed him to be extremely intoxicated and yelling at other patrons for no reason as they made contact with him. Weisberger had two friends with him who were attempting to get him back to the hotel, and they got him in the patrol car so the officer could drive him there. Along the way, he began to yell and scream and hit the interior door of the police cruiser in an attempt to get out while it was moving. Due to his continued drunkenness and behavior, he was placed into custody and transported to booking.

Lindsey Jett charged in drunken assault of her mother in Nashville Motel

Amy Jett told police that her 19-year-old daughter, Lindsey Jett, “does this when she gets drunk” when describing how Lindsey attacked her mother, biting her wrist and her rib cage, and then strangling her with both hands. When police arrived at the Super 8 Motel on Royal Parkway, Amy explained the two had been taking shots together at another location earlier, and once back at the hotel room, an argument escalated. Officers documented bite marks and other injuries on the mother, along with ripped clothing. Lindsey had initially fled the scene before officers arrived but was taken into custody a short time later.

Woman found passed out at Jason Aldean’s back door, wanders into traffic when awoken — Kelly Smith

Metro Nashville Police were flagged down by security at Jason Aldean’s bar, who stated they had located an intoxicated woman passed out at their back door. Officers found 54-year-old Kelly Smith and woke her up. She could not stand without falling and was “severely intoxicated” according to an arrest report. An ambulance was called to the scene, however, Smith refused all medical assistance. She then tried to wander into traffic, so officers decided she could not care for herself and transported her to booking.
