Mina Yousef assaults wife, kicks son in stomach

45-year-old Mina Yousef was arrested Saturday afternoon for two counts of domestic assault. Police say Mina was having an argument with his wife, Amira, when he got in her face and said to her, “DON’T MAKE ME DO IT.” Fearing for her life, Amira pushed her husband away, but he pushed back and hit her hands away. Their juvenile son, having seen this decided to intervene by putting himself between his parents. Mina responded by kicking his son in the stomach.

Kiara Neely charged in assault of siter, Ciara Neely

19-year-old Kiara Kalandra Neely was arrested Sunday and charged with domestic assault. Police say the incident began Saturday evening when Kiara’s sister, Ciara Neely, refused to leave Kiara’s apartment. Kiara called police and stated her sister Ciara had a stick and was refusing to leave. Kiara admitted to hitting her sister first to get her to leave. During the ensuing fight, Kiara punched Ciara in the stomach and slapped her in the face. Ciara also says her sister bit her hand. Police observed no physical injuries to Kiara, but Ciara had scratches on her face and hand. When asked to clarify the use of the stick, Kiara told police Ciara didn’t hit anyone with the stick. At this point, police determined Kiara Neely to be the primary aggressor and placed her under arrest for domestic assault, and transported her to booking.

Marlon Ramirez charged after coming home late & drunk, headbutting his older brother

21-year-old Marlon Ramirez came home extremely intoxicated at 1 a.m. Wednesday, causing a scene with his family. He was arguing with other members of his family who confronted him when his older brother, Edwin Ramirez, attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation. While he was separating everyone involved, Marlon reportedly head-butted his older brother in the face… an act he likely now regrets. The victim did not wish to prosecute, but due to the family relationship, officers charged Marlon with domestic assault and transported him to booking.

Lindsey Jett charged in drunken assault of her mother in Nashville Motel

Amy Jett told police that her 19-year-old daughter, Lindsey Jett, “does this when she gets drunk” when describing how Lindsey attacked her mother, biting her wrist and her rib cage, and then strangling her with both hands. When police arrived at the Super 8 Motel on Royal Parkway, Amy explained the two had been taking shots together at another location earlier, and once back at the hotel room, an argument escalated. Officers documented bite marks and other injuries on the mother, along with ripped clothing. Lindsey had initially fled the scene before officers arrived but was taken into custody a short time later.

Mariam Zaky admits to beating her daughter who talked back with a clothes hanger, then bites her

46-year-old Mariam Zaky tells police she beat her daughter with a clothes hanger across her back until it broke and bit her arms, then grabbed her by the arms and assaulted her again. The daughter, Emily Yonan, says she talked back to her mother, which started the assault. The victim suffered injuries all over her body. The mother is charged with domestic assault.

Joshua Lilley charged with vandalism of his bother’s car from 2020

23-year-old Joshua Lilley was booked into the Metro Nashville jail on a nearly two-year-old warrant, charging him with vandalism. The event, which occurred in May of 2020, alleges got angry with his brother and attempted to fight him, but settled for damaging the back door of his vehicle as he fled the scene of the disturbance. Officers documented several dents and scratches in the car of this brother, Zachary Lilley.

Man spends birthday in jail after assaulting his mother in Madison — Vanell Coble

Vanell Coble spent his 26th birthday in the Metro Nashville Jail this week, as he was arrested two days prior after his mother says he knocked on her door and once she opened it, he grabbed her by the shirt and pushed her backward ten feet into the apartment, resulting in a scratch to her forehead.

Coble’s bond is set at $1,000, and there’s a hold on his release from Smyrna Police due to multiple outstanding probation and failure to appear warrants.

Man charged with threatening girlfriend with liquor bottle during argument — Kenneth Douglas

20-year-old Kenneth Douglas is charged with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Destiny Tanner. Tanner says the two were arguing and Douglas was intoxicated and becoming more and more irate. She agreed to give him a ride to his sister’s home in South Nashville, and while they were en route, he reportedly threatened to hit her in the head with the bottle of liquor which he brought with him. She says she was placed in fear of bodily injury, and police responded to the scene. Douglas was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with domestic assault – fear of bodily injury, and is free on a $3,500 bond.

Ohio tourist jailed after assaulting her sister during Nashville visit — Christina Scipio arrested

A family scuffle between sisters from Ohio landed 29-year-old Christina Michelle Scipio in the Metro Nashville Jail late Friday night. The family was staying in downtown Nashville when their father says he observed a fight break out between them, leaving Hannah Scipio with scratches and bruises to her face and leg. She was able to get a few hits back on Christina, including a bruise to the right corner of her mouth, but police determined Christina to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody. She is free on a $1,000 bond.

Woman charged with assaulting granddaughter, hours after assaulting a driver that hit her — Gladys Wills gone wild

58-year-old Gladys Wills went wild Saturday when police say she was hit by a vehicle in downtown Nashville and assaulted that driver, for which she received an assault citation. She then got into a physical fight with her daughter, while her granddaughter got a ride home from MNPD. Once they were all back to the residence, she then assaulted her granddaughter, too, grabbing her by the throat, leaving visible injuries. She’s free on a $1,000 bond.
