Joey Ortega knocks his boyfriend out with a punch to the face at Tootsie’s in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say 35-year-old Joey Ortega punched his boyfriend, Andrew Beck, in the face as they were approached the couple outside Tootsie’s on Broadway in downtown Nashville Friday night. A verbal argument attracted the attention of police initially, and as they approached, Ortega cocked his fist back and released it, landing his boyfriend on the sidewalk. He was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury.

Jane Edwards assaults her boyfriend after finding him on a gay dating app

50-year-old Jane Edwards was jailed on Wednesday night after hitting her boyfriend because she found him on a male dating website. William Ralph showed the police video footage of Jane slamming the door on him, hitting him, and throwing several items at him. The video shows Ralph yelling, “you’re hurting me!” Jane denied any physical altercation. She says they only argued because she caught him on a male dating site.

Lester Anderson charged with assault of ex-boyfriend after a night at the club

31-year-old Lester Anderson was charged with domestic assault after beating up his ex-boyfriend on their way back from a club early Sunday morning. Anderson punched Gaven Huff multiple times, saying that everything he owns is also his. At one point, he grabbed Gaven out of the car and continued beating him. Officers witnessed several bruises and scratches in the chest and neck area. Gaven also had a cut on his face and multiple scrapes on his legs from being pulled out of the car. His clothes were also in disarray.

Alexander Hankins — “talkative and humorous” during DUI arrest

THP Trooper Healey says 30-year-old Alexander Hankins was “talkative and humorous” after she pulled him over just after 2 a.m. Friday. Hankins reportedly cut in front of the trooper’s car, which was blocking an exit for traffic control purposes. During the interaction, she says Hankins was visibly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to drinking prior to driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

DUI Crash: Brayden Thrasher “just trying to get home” after night at Play Dance Bar

24-year-old Jeffrey Brayden Thrasher crashed his black Jeep Cherokee into a rock retaining wall on Gallatin Pike just before 5 a.m. Saturday and drove for a short distance before his vehicle became disabled in the roadway. Officers arrived to find damage to the front end of his vehicle, as well as a destroyed front right tire, leaving only the rim. Thrasher stated he had consumed alcohol throughout the night at Play Dance Bar on Church Street in Nashville, and he was “just trying to get home.” A search incident to arrest also revealed a metal flask containing alcohol.

Marty McGregor charged with keying Tesla outside Trax Bar in Nashville

55-year-old Marty McGregor was jailed on an outstanding warrant this week from November, charging him with felony vandalism. William Coleman says he was sitting in his Tesla outside of the Trax Bar when McGregor exited the building and scratched the side of his vehicle with a key. The victim was able to capture the tag number of the red Ford truck McGregor fled in, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Model Malik Perry breaks boyfriend’s mirror, pours juice on kitchen floor during argument

21-year-old Malik Perry and his boyfriend, LaQuest Ware, were in a heated argument at 9 a.m. on January 31. Malik reportedly pushed Ware, tore up their shared apartment, and poured juice all over the kitchen floor, which was observed by responding officers. A mirror belonging to Ware was also destroyed by Malik in a fit of rage. Malik admitted the mirror solely belonged to his boyfriend and that he destroyed it. Perry was taken into custody and charged with domestic-related vandalism. At the time of his arrest, Perry was also served an outstanding warrant from 2020 for driving without a license.

Clarksville’s most prominent problematic party boy, BRAY2K, or as the judge calls him, Brayden Collins, was at Play Dance Bar this weekend when he says he was beaten by a bouncer, some of which was captured on video. The 19-year-old was with friends at the 18+ dance club, and the club even featured him on their social media and website photos from the evening. At some point, he was escorted out of the club after someone said he intentionally bumped into them. Brayden says he asked to apologize to the person but was escorted out instead. Once he was on the sidewalk, a video shows him being beaten as a member of the security staff holds him down.

Ja’Korey Hunter charged with assault of woman at gay bar in Nashville; she punches him in face

21-year-old Ja’Korey Hunter was at Play Dance Bar at 2 a.m. Saturday when police say he sexually assaulted Brittanee Anderson. According to witnesses and video of the incident, Hunter walked up behind the victim, who was dancing with her friend, Kolton Dixon. He then reportedly put his arms around her waist and then placed his hand up her dress, touching her genital area and fondling her. She immediately confronts Hunter and punches him in the face.
