Second Nitrous Balloon vendor arrested in downtown Nashville — Bilal Walk

46-year-old Bilal Walk, who initially fled from police hours before, was jailed early Monday morning after police observed him continuing to sell balloon filled with nitrous oxide in downtown Nashville. His partner was jailed the day prior. Officer Parking, who was working the Entertainment District Unit, observed walk near 4th Ave North, standing next to a gas cylinder in the alleyway with balloons in his hand. A group of people surrounded him as they inhaled the contents of the balloons. Walk began to flee, but not before claiming he was just inhaling, not selling, and pointed at a random downtown worker who was leaving his shift as the seller. He was unaware security footage had already captured him selling the balloons. Officers seized the nitrous oxide tank and $900 in cash from Walk, and it took two officers and several minutes of struggling to place him into custody.
