Hany Sharobim steals over $20,000 worth of appliances

37-year-old Hany Sharobim and Magy Ramzy had numerous stolen items on November 15th when officers searched his home on Millwood Drive. Sharobim was interviewed by officers and advised them that the storage area containing the stolen property was his. The search yielded a Samsung Washer from Reno Ninety Nine, 16 oven ranges belonging to Elmington Residential, a washer and dryer set from Tony Anthony Cohran, multiple Whirlpool ovens from Legacy South, and a Whirlpool oven from Faith Halfpap, resulting in over $20,000 of stolen property. Sharobim was taken into custody for five counts of theft.

Ramzy was interviewed by officers and advised them that the storage area containing the stolen property was hers. The search yielded a Samsung Washer belonging to Reno Ninety Nine, 16 oven ranges belonging to Elmington Residential, a washer and dryer set belonging to Tony Anthony Cohran, multiple Whirlpool ovens belonging to Legacy South, and a Whirlpool oven belonging to Faith Halfpap, The search resulted in over $20,000 worth of stolen property. Magy Ramzy was taken into custody for five counts of theft.

George Griffin charged as driver in fireworks assault of couple walking their dog

20-year-old George Griffin was driving the vehicle from which Preston ‘Davis’ Cannon shot large mortar-style fireworks at a couple who were walking their dog on September 15. Keiffer Smith and Leah Langfelder were walking their dog near Scarlet Ridge Drive and Autumn Crossing Way when a vehicle approached them, and fireworks were launched from the vehicle, exploding in their direction. One of the explosions struck Mr. Smith. Interviews and video surveillance revealed Cannon to be the person who shot the fireworks and Griffin as the driver. Elijah Schuerman, a friend of Cannon and Griffin, told officers during an interview that multiple fireworks were thrown from the vehicle before this incident. Griffin was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a fireworks violation on October 26th.

Preston Davis Cannon shoots fireworks at couple walking their dog, per police

Police say 20-year-old Preston ‘Davis’ Cannon shot large mortar-style fireworks from a moving vehicle at a couple who were walking their dog on September 15. Keiffer Smith and Leah Langfelder were walking their dog near Scarlet Ridge Drive and Autumn Crossing Way when a vehicle approached them, and fireworks were launched from the vehicle, exploding in their direction. One of the explosions struck Mr. Smith. Interviews and video surveillance revealed Cannon to be the person who shot the fireworks from the moving vehicle. Multiple warrants were issued for his arrest, and he was booked into custody on September 30. 

Floyd Thomas charged with child abuse after daughter beaten from her “neck to her ankles” with belt

A fifteen-year-old girl says her father, 57-year-old Floyd Thomas Jr., brutally beat her with a belt on September 7th. She told police she had taken a walk around her Antioch neighborhood with her sister, which she does every today, but on this day, her father felt the walk took too long. When she returned home, she says he took a belt and began to beat her with it, hitting her over and over again, and when she went to her bedroom, he followed her and continued to beat her as she screamed. She was able to escape and run to a nearby home, where police and first responders were called. Officers documented injuries “from her neck to her ankles,” including large welts to her upper back, visible welts, and redness covering her arms and legs. She also had a mark on her face. Police found the father at his home, and he claims he only spanked her on the bed, but she moved around; he explained she recently had to move to a new school due to behavioral issues. Thomas was charged with child abuse and transported to booking.

Julia Krogh pulls gun on her boyfriend & assaults him when she discovers he’s cheating on her

Brian Reed told Metro Nashville Police that his girlfriend, 20-year-old Julia Krogh, sent him a text message to come home and move out when she found out he was cheating on her. He arrived at the Antioch residence and found her armed with his gun. An altercation ensued, the two wrestled, and he eventually took control of the gun, but not before she punched him in the face and shattered the screen of his phone. During questioning, Krogh told police she “got violent” and admitted to punching him and throwing his phone because she knew he was recording.

DA Glenn Funk is prosecuting Tara Basham with felony burglary after $250 Walmart theft

Metro Police say 41-year-old Tara Michelle Basham entered the Walmart on Hamilton Church Road and filled a cart with items on which she replaced the original barcode with printed 0.67 cent barcodes. She then used the self-checkout to scan and pay based on the much 0.67 cents per item. The retail cost of the items would have been $256.82, according to AmandaSims with Walmart loss prevention. Loss prevention initially detained Basham and notified the police, but since they did not respond in a timely manner (it was over 2 hours before officers arrived after the initial call for police assistance), they had already released her when officers arrived. It was discovered that Basham had been banned from Walmart for life in May of 2020 and again in December of 2020, so the officer obtained a warrant for felony burglary. She was booked on that warrant this week.

An Antioch couple was jailed overnight after 21-year-old Aerial Anderson says she found a video of 31-year-old Raymond Quick having intimate relations with another woman. She reportedly poured bleach all over his very expensive designer clothing and messaged the sex tape to his friends, family, and children. He reportedly chased her through the apartment complex and strangled her.
