Donyale Jackson caught with used crack pipes after sleeping on Lindsley Avenue Church steps

50-year-old Donyale Jackson was sleeping on the steps at The Lindsley Avenue Church around 2:15 p.m. on March 15th. Officers observed this and confirmed that the Church had a valid trespass waiver. So, officers stopped Jackson and questioned him, during which he stated he had a knife and “pipes” in his pocket. Officers searched him and located four pipes: three glass and one metal, which appeared to have been used to smoke crack. He told them the last time he consumed crack was on March 14th. Officers cited him for the incident that day. Jackson failed to pay fines or appear in court, so he was booked on the citations for criminal trespass and the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia on April 12th.

Joseph Enlow interferes with traffic by walking in the middle of the street downtown

58-year-old Joseph Enlow was seen walking in the middle of the 8th Avenue South and McGavock Street intersection on April 5th. When officers arrived at the mentioned location, they observed Multiple vehicles forced to move out of the way to avoid hitting him. Once stopped, Enlow provided law enforcement with his name and date of birth but refused to give any reason for his behavior in the street. Joseph Enlow was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

Imari Claybrooks caught with 192.3 grams of marijuana in her car

21-year-old Imari Claybrooks failed to stop completely before turning right at the red light on 7th Avenue South and Lafayette Street on the afternoon of February 26th. Claybrooks pulled over to the Nashville Rescue Mission parking lot, and as officers approached her car, they noticed it reeked of marijuana. Officers then asked Claybrooks to exit the vehicle so they could search it. During the search, officers located a Kroger bag with a total of 192.3 grams of marijuana split into 16 small bags that were all labeled with different sales prices. Under Miranda, Claybrooks told them she was using the marijuana to make edibles and handed them a small bag of marijuana that she had in her bra. Claybrooks was taken into custody for felony possession of Schedule IV with intent.

Ethan Carey chases people around, tells police he was “sent from the sky and ordered to slaughter ground people”

21-year-old Ethan Lynn Carey chased citizens on foot in front of Hermitage Avenue on December 30th. Officers observed this, stopped him, and noticed he had pinpoint pupils. He was unaware of what city he was in and advised officers that he was “sent from the sky and ordered to slaughter ground people.” Carey was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Terence Doston rips boyfriend’s sweater during argument

28-year-old Terence Doston was involved in a domestic altercation with his boyfriend, Maurice Bacon, at 1st Avenue North in the intermediate hours of December 17th. The dispute began with the couple being engaged in an argument that escalated when they grabbed each other by their clothing. Doston suggested to law enforcement that he had taken some drugs before the argument in the morning. Bacon told officers that Doston had used a pair of scissors to cut the sweater he was wearing. When Doston was approached about the subject, he admitted that he may have ripped his sweater with his bare hands but denied using any cutting instruments. Doston was taken into custody and charged with vandalism.

Herber Augilar-Martinez shoves multiple people at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk

22-year-old Herber Mauricio Aguilar-Martinez was getting rowdy, shoving patrons on the dance floor at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk in the early hours of December 11th. The security at the establishment stated that when they told Aguilar-Martinez to leave the premises, he began to shove them, so they detained him until the officers arrived. Aguilar-Martinez was visibly intoxicated when the officers attempted to interview him, so they tried to transport him to the patrol car, but he stuck his foot out, hindering them from closing the door. Two security officers had to assist in getting him safely into the police vehicle. Aguilar-Martinez was taken into custody for resisting arrest and public intoxication.

Clyde Joines assaults wife, puts fingers in her mouth during argument

48-year-old Clyde Joines was arguing with his wife, Lea-Ann Joines, on November 24th when the altercation became combative. Joines attempted to prevent Lea-Ann from exiting the vehicle, so he stuck his fingers in her mouth, which caused minor injuries to her lips. In an attempt to get him off of her, Lea-Ann hit him several times, causing minor injuries to Clyde’s lips. Clyde’s side of the story was that in the midst of the argument, he took Lea-Ann’s phone from her, prompting Lea-Ann to strike him first. Law enforcement determined that Clyde was the primary aggressor throughout the assault. Clyde Joines was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

DUI: Anthony Higgins, barely able to walk, drives around parking lot

34-year-old Anthony Higgins was at the Shell gas station on November 12 when an anonymous citizen flagged officers down regarding him being impaired and trying to drive. Officers observed Higgins stumbling, trying to open his SUV door while swaying back and forth. Higgins then entered the gas station and later returned to his vehicle. Higgins began to drive off, then officers initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot, and Higgins circled the Shell before stopping. He advised officers that he had marijuana and smoked some earlier that night before consenting to sobriety tests and performing poorly. Higgins was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Koby Halley charged with public intoxication and assaulting a police officer after drunken brawl

44-year-old Koby Halley was booked Friday Morning after assaulting a man on Demonbreun Street. Jay Marlar told police that Haley pushed him into a ground-level window. Marlar tried to leave, but Halley grabbed him by his chest. Marlar kicked Halley in the face to try to get away, causing a cut to his face. Video footage corroborated the victim’s account of events. While the police spoke with Halley, they noticed he was visibly drunk and unable to answer simple questions. It was clear he couldn’t care for himself and presented a danger to others. As police tried to arrest Halley he resisted and kicked an officer in the chest.

Tationia Harris jailed after beating up strangers who she thought were looking at her

27-year-old Tationia Harris was being dragged into a vehicle near 5th Ave South in downtown Nashville on May 27, causing nearby officers to take notice and respond to the car immediately. Her boyfriend, who was the driver of the vehicle, explained to police she was trying to start fights with random people on the street, and he was trying to get her safely home, despite her intoxicated state. Officers interviewed nearby citizens who reported that Harris randomly attacked them as they walked by. She was yelling, “What are you looking at?” to anyone who passed by before attempting to take them to the ground. She continued this in the presence of police. She told police she didn’t like the way people were looking at her so she was beating them up. It was immediately obvious why her boyfriend dragged her into the vehicle, and officers took her into custody. During her arrest, she punched an officer in the face and then went limp, demanding they carry her to the vehicle.
