Ashua Sias beats boyfriend with flat-screen TV during argument

24-year-old Ashua Dyone Sias had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Charles Dalton, at his Deford Bailey Avenue apartment in the early hours of March 8th. Dalton spoke to officers when they arrived, advising them that he and Sias argued. During the argument, Sias walked out of the bedroom, so Dalton locked the door to de-escalate the situation. This caused Sias to become upset, forced the door open, and grabbed his flat-screen TV from his dresser. Sias then hit him on the head with it before throwing it to the ground and jumping on it, breaking it in half.

Officers then spoke to Sias, who told officers that Dalton had locked her out and that she had forced it open because some of her belongings were still inside. She stated that Dalton started pushing her, so she swung her arms to keep him away. This caused Sias to accidentally knock the TV off the dresser and onto the floor. Officers could see that the TV was broken in half, which was inconsistent with Sias’ story. Sias was taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism.
