Ty Anderson sideswiped a Dodge Charger in his F-150 and fled the scene

Police say 61-year-old Ty Anderson was driving his blue Ford F-150 when he sideswiped a Dodge Charger on Shelby Ave in East Nashville, causing damage to both vehicles. He did not stop and continued on to his home in East Nashville. Officers responded to the scene, and the victim in the Charger provided the license plate of the F-150, which was traced back to Anderson. Officers arrived at Anderson’s home to find his F-150 with damage consistent with sideswiping the Charger. He told officers “something” hit his truck. He was cited for failure to comply and failure to notify of an accident.

Desmon Davidson, 20, had “seven or eight” shots of liquor before driving

20-year-old Desmon Davidson was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning and charged with underage driving while impaired, underage possession of alcohol, and driving with an open container. Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 24 southeast of Downtown Nashville where they found Desmon in the driver seat, displaying clear signs of intoxication. Davidson performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and admitted to consuming “seven to eight shots” of liquor prior to driving. Inside the vehicle was an open bottle of liquor. In September 2022, Davidson pleaded a DUI charge down to reckless driving in a deferred judgment agreement.

DUI: Cindy Matlock Brown blows 0.234% BAC after East Nashville crash with injuries

61-year-old Cindy Matlock Brown rear-ended another vehicle on Gallatin Pike late Sunday evening, sending that driver to the hospital with injuries. Brown admitted to having “2 glasses of wine” while at a friend’s home in Donelson, and she was trying to make it back to her home near Belmont but got lost on the way home. She appeared not to know where she was, was unsteady on her feet, and was generally visibly intoxicated. She blew a 0.234% BAC on a breathalyzer, which is nearly three times the legal limit to drive in Tennessee.
