Jacob Young kills deer with arrow, booked for hunting deer with bait

33-year-old Jacob Ryan Young, an employee at Propel Insurance, was cited by the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency for hunting with the aid of bait at Eastland Avenue on November 13th. TWRA received a complaint from a resident on Eastland Avenue regarding a deer killed with an arrow in their front yard. An investigation revealed Young to be the one who harvested it, and a bait block with grain and whole kernels of corn was found near the 7-point white-tailed deer. Young was booked on the citation on December 4th.

Cheyenne Pitts charged after improper harvesting of Turkey on opening day of season

29-year-old Cheyenne Pitts was booked on a citation from August 31st after she failed to tag a turkey she harvested. While conducting a REAL systems check, TWRA officers found a deer harvested from Davidson County with a license issue. An unnamed individual informed police that Pitts had posted a turkey harvest on Facebook on April 15th that was not tagged or reported to the state. Pitts admitted that she harvested the turkey at the beginning of turkey season and was cited for illegal taking of wildlife.

56-year-old Grammy nominee Mary Holladay “Holly” Lamar was booked this week on 30 wildlife-related charges after agents from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA), stemming from a search conducted in August of this year, during which 13 birds of prey were seized from her falconry, Wing Blade Falconry, in Whites Creek. In 2018, Lamar was charged and convicted in England for owning unregistered falcons and for having a dead falcon in her freezer, which was “half-eaten with its leg cut off.” She is banned from owning falcons or birds of prey in the UK.
