Caleb Sanchez caught stealing $46.04 worth of merchandise from Walmart

31-year-old Caleb Sanchez stole $46.04 worth of merchandise from the Walmart on Gallatin Pike North in the early hours of February 26th. An off-duty MNPD officer advised them that Sanchez had been banned from all Walmart locations on two different occasions, January 24th and February 23rd. The loss prevention officer, Tikicee Russell, provided footage to officers showing Sanchez stealing. The footage showed Sanchez entering the store with an empty Walmart bag, filling it with random items, and trying to leave before being stopped by a Wal-Mart employee, Kimberly Warren. Sanchez was taken into custody for burglary.

Gavin Sheasley blows 0.290% BAC after passing out behind wheel of vehicle mid-afternoon

30-year-old Nashville fitness fanatic Gavin Eli Sheasley was found passed out in his vehicle with an empty bottle of New Amsterdam vodka in his hand on Liberty Hill Dr. in the afternoon hours of November 29th. EMS observed this and requested officers’ assistance. They noticed Sheasley’s foot on the brake with the car still in drive before they could wake him up successfully. Sheasley was visibly intoxicated when he stepped out of the vehicle and admitted to having six to seven “airplane bottles.” Then, he refused to partake in sobriety tests but provided a breath sample after being Mirandized, which resulted in 0.290% BAC. Sheasley was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

You can’t bring your crystal meth into the hospital, Christopher Daniels.

Metro Nashville Police responded to Skyline Hospital late Wednesday night to find 23-year-old Christopher Daniels in possession of his jacket, which had been used to bring nearly a half-pound (220 grams) of methamphetamine into the hospital. Police reviewed security footage which showed his girlfriend go outside and approach a blue Nissan Altima and grab his black jacket to bring back inside. As she entered the emergency department, security searched her and found the methamphetamine. Officers spoke with Daniels, who was in possession of the jacket, and he admitted everything found in the jacket belonged to him.

Imani Amuri — Two DUIs in 27 days, pre-trial release on both arrests

20-year-old Imani Amuri was charged with DUI on April 10th after he crashed into a utility pole in Madison, and officers found him passed out behind the wheel and a car full of empty small liquor bottles. He blew a 0.228% BAC. Despite a commissioner setting his bond at $3,000, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release. 27 days later, on May 7th, he would lose control of his car once again and be arrested for a new DUI. This time a judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000, and once again, the DCSO gave him pre-trial release.
