Jayleen Franklin charged with assault of another student at Hillsboro High School

18-year-old Jayleen Franklin was booked and charged with assault on October 16th. Shonta Woods, the mother of Marcel Burnett Jr., is pressing charges on Franklin for a physical altercation that occurred at Hillsboro High School. Burnett Jr. stated that during class change, Franklin reportedly came from behind and hit him in the side and back of his head. Officers were told that the physical altercation ended after Burnett Jr. defended himself. Burnett Jr. had a bump on the back and side of his head because of the scuffle.

Keniqua Mcadams jailed for custodial interference after taking children on a cruise

40-year-old Keniqua McAdams was charged with custodial interference after she kept the father of her kids away from them during his allotted time for visitation. The victim, Keemer Jordan, was supposed to have visitation with his two children from July 1st to August 8th. On July 1st, Keniqua took the two children on a cruise with her outside of the country, not allowing Keemer the time for visitation, which was designated by a court order.

Jessica Robertson threatens to kill everyone in a school over third-grade retention policy

20-year-old Jessica Robertson is charged with threatening mass violence against a school after she called J.T. Moore middle school and threatened to kill everyone, stating she was upset about the 3rd-grand retention policy, which makes some students repeat the school year if they do poorly on a single test. Robertson called the school on May 24 and left a voicemail stating, “Hey, I have a question. Why the f*-k do y’all government think it’s OK to make g*dd-mn third graders repeat f*-king elementary school? Like, what the f-*k? I’m gonna kill y’all. Bye.”

School personnel matched the caller ID to a family with prior children at the school and turned the information over to detectives, who visited the family’s home. The parents at the location confirmed the number belonged to their daughter, Jessica Robertson. They said a few days prior, the news was on TV, and Jessica became enraged about this particular story and informed her mother was “going upstairs to call the government!”

VIDEO: Cane Ridge Asst Principal on paid leave after tackling student during fight

Cane Ridge High School Assistant Principal James Reese is on paid administrative leave after he violently took a student to the floor and restrained her during a fight in the gym on January 31. After Scoop: Nashville obtained a video of the incident, Metro Nashville Schools released a statement that reads, “a fight occurred in the gym at approximately 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31. Assistant Principal James Reese came into the gym and stopped the fight with the help of a substitute teacher. He was attempting to escort one of the girls out of the gym when the other one involved in the fight moved passed a substitute teacher and pushed them, knocking them to the floor. The AP got up and took that girl to the floor and restrained her to stop the fight from re-occurring.”

Former John Overton teacher Travis Prince indicted for solicitation of statutory rape of student

32-year-old former John Overton High School math teacher Travis Boyd Prince has been released on his own recognizance after a Davidson County Grand Jury indicted him on four counts of solicitation of statutory rape of a student. Metro Nashville Public Schools says Prince resigned in late July when the school system was made aware of the allegations during the police investigation. The student moved after the alleged incidents occurred in 2021.

Tywansha Perkins charged in assault of Metro School bus driver

Video from a MNPS bus shows 36-year-old Tywansha Yvette Perkins waited for her child’s bus to drop him off and then entered the bus before any children could exit. She got in the face of the bus driver, put a finger in the driver’s face, and yelled, “Imma f*-k you up!” and continued to yell and curse and escalate the situation while the driver remained calm but afraid. The children exited around Perkins, and she then left the bus, too. Perkins was reportedly up prior video footage from the school bus proved that her son was not telling the truth when he told her the school bus driver assaulted him by shoving him and slapping candy from his hand. A judge released her on her own recognizance.

Jamie Morgan booked on charge of stealing school board campaign signs in Nashville

45-year-old Jamie Morgan self-booked this week on a citation charging her with the theft of campaign signs of MNPS School Board candidate Todd Pembroke. Police say that after repeated thefts, a tracker was placed inside some of the signs by the campaign, and they were tracked to her address on Anchorage Drive. Police accompanied the candidate to the pinged location and issued her a citation, and retrieved dozens of signs. During that visit, Morgan lifted her shirt and flashed the candidate, made obscene gestures, and caused quite the scene, which was captured on video (below, in story). Morgan stated she did this for “political reasons.” On her social media, Morgan describes herself as a “Nashville based bipolar pagan intuitive; rape, sexual abuse, trauma survivor; retired drunk trying to be a better mom.”
