Braxton Carter found in his boxers throwing scooters in downtown Nashville

20-year-old Braxton Carter was described as running around in his boxers, entering the middle of the road, and throwing scooters when police responded to 2nd Ave and Lea Ave after receiving the report early Thursday morning. Braxton was unsteady on his feet and smelled strongly of alcohol when police found him. Braxton could not tell police where he was staying or if he had any friends around to help him, so police placed him into custody for public intoxication.

Masi Kingston in custody: now on tour of county jails across the state

31-year-old Masi Kingston, who last month walked out of a police station where bounty hunters were surrendering him, is once again in jail this morning. He was captured in Atlanta Tuesday night by his Nashville-based bondswoman, Keeley Benoit. He attempted to flee as he exited a club in Atlanta and had to be tased by the bounty-hunting team. While on the ground, Masi screamed, “Call my lawyer, call my sister!” as other nearby men attacked the bounty hunters with designer handbags and purses. In Davidson County, Kingston was wanted after failing to appear for an evading arrest court date. He has since posted a $22,000 bond for those charges and is awaiting transfer to the next county. Williamson County has a hold on him to answer for state probation offenses, which is where he is currently pending transfer. He has additional open warrants in Montgomery and Hamblen counties in Tennessee and also in Texas, though Texas is unlikely to extradite him.

Daisy Galeno punches boyfriend who brought two women to their hotel room

26-year-old Daisy Galeno told police that she and her boyfriend had recently gotten back together after a brief breakup and were drinking downtown. While out drinking, she said she left the bar after seeing Jonny Serrano, her boyfriend, flirting with other women. When she was gone, Jonathan stated that he tried calling Daisy several times to ask if it was okay for him to bring two other females to their hotel room at Placemakr Premier SoBro on Demonbreun St. Daisy did not answer and arrived back at the hotel to find Jonathan with the other two females. The two females left, and Daisy began to argue with Jonathan about the situation. Daisy said that they only argued and nothing physical happened. Jonathan said that Daisy slapped him in the face close to his eye where he recently had LASIK surgery. He told police that he did not wish to prosecute Daisy. But police noticed redness around Jonathan’s eye consistent with his account of the incident.

Dominique Holland breaks into ex-girlfriend’s home with pistol — “I really want to hurt you right now”

25-year-old Dominique Holland admitted to breaking his ex-girlfriend’s back glass door and entering her house with a pistol after they argued on August 19th. Police arrived at his ex-girlfriend, Terrica Woods’s, house and spoke to Terrica about the incident. She stated that she and Dominique argued at her house earlier, but he had to leave to cool off. While he was gone, she said that he called her several times and then arrived back at the home. Dominique knocked at the door until Terrica came outside to sit in the car with him, and he said to her, “I really want to hurt you right now.” She went back inside, then he began knocking on the door, went around back, shattered her glass back door valued at approximately $300, and entered the home with a pistol in his hand. Despite him pointing it at her or threatening to use it, she stated that she felt in danger. Terrica’s 16-year-old son said that he heard Dominique say, “Someone is gonna get arrested or die tonight,” which Dominique denied saying.

Jovante Robinson charged in assault of girlfriend over phone

38-year-old Jovante Robinson was charged with domestic assault after police spoke to his ex-girlfriend at 7th St on August 19th. The victim, Dannielle Young, told police that she and Robinson were in a relationship, which she ended earlier that day. She said Robinson lives with his mother two doors down, and they argued about her phone. Robinson allegedly became agitated and demanded that she open her phone. When she refused, things turned physical; he grabbed the phone, both fell to the ground, and she says he hit her in the face several times and attempted to strangle her. The victim told police that Robinson struck her lip and face during this confrontation, causing her lip to bleed. She also stated that she broke free from his grip during the altercation and told him to leave. As he was leaving, he paused and grabbed her shirt to pull her outside. Young resisted and told him that she did not want to leave with him but said that she would let him look at her phone if he left. Robinson left the residence, and she then locked the door behind him until police arrived.

Charles Brooks charged in thefts of liquor from stores he worked at

33-year-old Charles Brooks is accused by his manager of stealing several times from a company owned by Metro Wine and Spirits. On August 18th, police spoke to Brooks’ store manager, who informed them that Charles had been stealing from various liquor stores for several months. On August 1st, he took Hennessy bottles (valued at $107) and a Michelob Ultra (valued at $7), and then placed them into his backpack without paying. Also, on August 11th, Brooks is accused of completing several orders and pocketing the money (valued at $135.92) from Nashville Wine & Spirits. Beer, Cigars & Cigarettes.

The next day, on August 12th, Brooks pocketed cash from transactions while working at the Downtown Nashville Market (valued at $226) owned by TMM Inc. after taking several cash transactions. On August 13th, Charles stole approximately $200 of cash by pocketing it from his transactions, but from SoBro Wine & Spirits. Beer, Cigars, and Cigarettes. He also stole a pint-sized vodka bottle valued at $10 before he left without paying for it. Reportedly, there are several other incidents where he stole money and products where more warrants will be sworn out as the investigation produces more evidence. He was arrested on August 18th on a full extradition warrant from Illinois.

DUI: Halston Downey found asleep in car with another man on Rivergate Parkway

27-year-old Halston Downey was one of two males found asleep in a car in a Rivergate Parkway parking lot, with three empty Modelo beer bottles among them. Officers located Downey in the driver’s seat with the door open and the keys in the center console. Downey woke up long enough to answer, “Enough!” when asked how much he had to drink. He was unable to complete field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. 

Florida man John Burgett indicted on identity theft and harassment charges

The July Grand Jury indicted 57-year-old John Burgett for two counts of identity theft, trafficking, and harassment. Detectives say John knowingly used Tracy D. McMurtry’s identity without permission on August 25th, 2022. He also intended to give out personal identifying information without the consent of Tracy D. McMurtry. From August 3rd to 15th, John knowingly communicated with Tracy McMurtry in a manner that would annoy, offend, alarm, or frighten. He was placed into custody for the charges on August 18th.

Megan Hutcherson jailed after violating order of protection

35-year-old Megan Hutcherson was jailed at Brooke Castle Dr. for a protection order violation on August 19th. That evening, Hutcherson was informed to vacate the residence until her court date on August 23rd. Megan told police that she was informed she did receive a phone call from DCSO while packing her things to leave. Megan sent a text message three hours after being notified to have no contact with the victim, violating the order. She was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Dimas Mendoza Juarez charged after reportedly assaulting man in parking lot

22-year-old Dimas Mendoza Juarez was seen fighting with another man in the parking lot on Edmondson Pike. Officers observed that Dimas had injuries to his face and neck from alleged strangulation, for which he refused treatment. Dimas appeared intoxicated to the officers before finding several empty Corona bottles around him. He was arrested for public intoxication after he was deemed unable to take care of himself. Later, he denied the assault had ever occurred.
