Ava Reaves charged with late-night DUI in downtown Nashville

Police say 22-year-old Ava Reaves struck a light pole in the media of James Robertson Parkway in downtown Nashville just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning. She was visibly intoxicated and admitted to drinking 2-3 tequila and soda drinks just prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and then refused all other testing and questioning. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Tourist Chad Buening charged with groping woman at Bridgestone Arena

Meaghan McNamara says she was waiting in line for the women’s restroom at Bridgestone Arena on May 27 when 42-year-old Chad Buening, who she described as a white man with blonde tips in his hair and wearing an Atlanta Falcon’s #18 jersey, approached her and touched her stomach and breast with his hand. She says she told him not to touch her, and he fled to the women’s restroom. As he exited the women’s restroom, Buening reportedly then reached out and touched her breast a second time, prompting her to stick him in the face with one solid punch. He then fled the arena and was located nearby on Demonbreun Street, where she positively identified him. Multiple witnesses all confirmed the incident, and Buening was charged with two counts of sexual battery.

Realtor Erin Huckabee Akers charged in DUI crash after drinking at Jason Aldean’s Bar

39-year-old Erin Akers told police she had “three Cosmopolitan” drinks at Jason Aldean’s Bar before crashing her car at 12th & Demonbreun late Saturday night. She left the bar to drive home around 11 p.m., which was about an hour before the crash. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and had trouble standing on her own during the interaction. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Street Racer Abdulrahman Taha jailed after wrecking on Nolensville Pike

19-year-old Abdulrahman Taha was driving a 2022 black Hyundai on Nolensville Road as he raced another vehicle on May 27th and passed through an intersection where a Metro Nashville Police Officer was stopped at a red light. An officer a short distance away watched as Taha approached his position and ran through another intersection while hitting a car that was properly navigating the roadway. The other party was injured in the crash, and Taha was taken into custody. His license plate was a fake tag that read: “confused.” a GoPro camera was also located attached to the back window of the car, and a Beretta 9 mm handgun was in the back seat.

Internet celebrity Coby Persin jailed in Nashville after he was unable to handle his alcohol

29-year-old YouTuber Coby Persin, whose real name is Chaim Persin and has millions of followers across his social media platforms, was jailed in Nashville Sunday evening. Persin, who is often known as ‘That guy from YouTube,’ was seen in the city this weekend with the troubled Jack Zuckowsky. An employee of Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe – The Gulch flagged down nearby officers to report Persin was acting erratic at the location. Officers found the YouTuber without his shirt or shoes and reeking of alcohol. His social media shows him drinking across the rooftops of downtown Nashville in the hours prior. Persin was so intoxicated he was unable to tell officers where he was staying and was unable to have anyone retrieve him to a safe place. The arresting officer says Persin was unable to form complete sentences or thoughts during questioning and deemed him unable to care for himself.

Zane Morgan charged in felony assault of man at Jason Aldean’s bar in downtown Nashville

24-year-old Zane Morgan now faces a new charge after an April incident at Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville. As we previously reported, Morgan was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The victim of the aggravated assault that night, Matthew Pozzuto, was able to identify Morgan from a photo lineup after being released from the hospital, and a warrant was issued charging Morgan with felony aggravated assault with serious bodily injury last week. The warrant alleges Morgan approached the victim and shoved a cell phone in his face for an unknown reason. The victim told him to back up, and Zane Morgan then punched him in the face, as seen on a security video. The victim was hospitalized for multiple nasal bone fractures. In a phone interview prior to arrest, Morgan admitted the assault to police.

22-year-old Jamon Siler was one of three individuals inside a white Jeep Wrangler that were observed to be backed into two parking spots at an airport extended say hotel on Elm Hill Pike in the early hours of Thursday morning. Police described the vehicle as “completely filled with smoke” and, due to drug activity in the area, stopped to ascertain if they were guests of the hotel. As they approached the vehicle, it was apparent the smoke was from marijuana, which was also admitted by all three. Inside the vehicle, officers located a scale, sandwich baggies, tin foil with burnt residue, multiple CBD bags, 230 grams of marijuana in three separate bags, 12 grams of Fentanyl, 2.3 grams of crack cocaine, 8 grams of cocaine, and $3,700 in cash. All three requested their lawyers and were transported to booking to be processed. Officers seized all items, money, drugs, and phones.

Davis Madrigal found with Xanax after recklessly shooting at paper targets in direction of neighbor

19-year-old Davis Madrigal was one of four teens shooting firearms from a home on McCrory Lane in Nashville on May 24. They were shooting in the direction of a nearby home that faced Poplar Creek Road, where officers responded to a shots-fired call in progress at 7 p.m. The victims told police they were in their driveway when they heard gunshots and a whistling noise over their heads as the bullets flew past them, striking the branches directly above their heads. The victims took cover, and officers arrived and continued to hear gunshots from across the road. Officers tracked the gunfire to a home on McCrory Lane, where he told officers he was not aware there was a residence behind the paper targets. Madrigal had Xanax in his possession at the time of his arrest, and could not provide a prescription for the drugs.
