29-year-old Taylor Davis Schiel crashed his Audi in the middle of West End Avenue and exited the car before police arrived. As police were investigating the scene they noticed a nearby vehicle and spoke with one of the occupants, who told police he just stopped and wanted to make sure everyone was OK. Upon further questioning, he admitted his backseat passenger was actually the driver who fled the Audi, Taylor Schiel. Schiel was seen concealing multiple bottles of liquor, some of which were located in the Audi, including a half-empty bottle of Evan Williams. He was clearly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol, but told officer had had not consumed any alcohol. He was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Man charged after pulling gun & threatening to shoot former co-worker — Zachary Queen arrested
26-year-old Zachary Queen was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police say he was driving around erratically and suddenly jumped out of his vehicle and pointed a gun at a former co-worker, and threatened to shoot him.
The motive for the assault wasn’t clear at the time of the arrest. Queen is free on a $10,000 bond.
Man so drunk he continues to drive damaged vehicle after crash — Elijah Gang #WhiteBoyWasted
26-year-old Elijah Gang was driving around in a recently crashed vehicle when he drove right into an area which police were preparing for the NYE event in downtown Nashville. An officer approached him to make sure he was ok, and that he realized how damaged his vehicle was. The front-end had heavy damage and the left front time was completely flat. Gang repeatedly reeked of alcohol and refused to answer most questions.
Inside the Toyota Rav4 was an open Miller High Life beer can and multiple cans of Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Things. Gang was charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law, and open containers. He was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, just a few blocks away, and is free on pre-trial release.
Man given $1500 bond for eating $2 worth of donuts inside Antioch Mapco — Robert Fathera arrested
53-year-old Robert Fathera was found sitting on the floor of an Antioch Mapco just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, his lips covered in white powder. Police determined he had taken two honey bunds and a pack of white powdered donuts from the shelf and consumed them while inside the store without any way to pay for them.
He was reportedly intoxicated, and had urinated on himself. Police charged him with public intoxication ($250 bond) and theft of merchandise ($1500 bond) and transported him to jail. The value of the stolen items was determined to one $2.00 by store management.
DUI Crash: Travel Nurse refuses care because “I’m a nurse”, resists arrest, handgun — Megan Thaggard
32-year-old Travel Nurse Megan Elizabeth Thaggard is jailed in lieu of a $7,500 bond after police found her crashed into a crosswalk pole in downtown Nashville. When they attempted to provide her with medical assistance she refused, declaring “I don’t need care, because I’m a traveling RN!” She would eventually blow a 0.151 % BAC on a breathalyzer after admitting to drinking prior to driving. She also had a 9mm Kimber loaded with hollow-point bullets in the car within her reach. She actively resisted arrest for several minutes until police were eventually able to get her into custody. She was transported a few hundred feet to booking and charged with DUI, handgun under the influence, resisting arrest, and no insurance.
