Jake Stevens caught selling Fentanyl in Walmart parking lot

21-year-old Jake Stevens was driving a green Scion into the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Gallatin Pike on April 13 when he parked near a Toyota Sequoia, which was being surveilled by Metro Nashville Police. A person from the Toyota got into Stevens’ vehicle and conducted what detectives believed to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction. Detectives approached the vehicle and found Stevens to have a scale in his lap with white powder on it. Inside the vehicle, a bag of 2.4 grams of Fentanyl was located between his seat and the center console, and Stevens alerted officers he had a firearm in his waistband. Another bag of 1.6 grams of methamphetamine was also located. Stevens admitted to being a “drug dealer” and stated he was also addicted to drugs.

MNPD buys $20 of marijuana from citizen who eats their buy money — Fredrick Burns

Metro Nashville Police say they used an undercover detective at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to approach 35-year-old Fredrick Antwain Burns in downtown Nashville to attempt to buy $20 worth of marijuana. Burns walked a block away to his vehicle and drove it back to the undercover detective to serve him. In exchange for the $20 bill, he handed the detective a small plastic bag with 1 gram of suspected marijuana inside. As he pulled off, a unit pulled him over to arrest him, and detectives believe that Burns ate the $20 of buy money as they were unable to locate it elsewhere.
