Search results in Fentanyl and Glock with a switch — Keontae Burns arrested

22-year-old Keontae Burns had a TBI task force, DEA, and MNPD locate drugs and a fully automatic weapon in his home this week. The TBI Middle Tennessee Drug Related Deaths Task Force, DEA Tactical Diversion Squad, and MNPD Neighborhood Safety Unit showed up at an apartment on Old Hickory Blvd with a search warrant on June 14th. The house was Keonte’s, and inside, they found approximately 33.7 grams of fentanyl, 143 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, including digital scales, plastic bags, filters, inositol powder, and blenders. Also, a Glock 22 with a Glock switch making the .40 caliber weapon fully automatic, was found inside.

Erik Valdez-Martinez: Mini Draco, marijuana, & THC cartridges, Oh My!

19-year-old Erik Valdez-Martinez was jailed on March 23rd after fleeing from the police. Detectives conducted surveillance on Elm Pike and observed a black Mercedes Sedan with temp tags that didn’t match the vehicle. Valdez had left a home on Elm Hill Pike with a rifle tucked under his jacket, as well as a bag slung over his shoulder. He got into the back seat of the Mercedes, and they left the location. Detectives and an aviation unit followed the car. The vehicle eventually ended up at Vultee Boulevard, where detectives attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

The vehicle fled from the traffic stop, and spike strips were deployed. As the vehicle continued to flee, aviation updated the vehicle’s location so detectives could follow its path. Valdez fled the vehicle with a black backpack near Kirby Avenue towards Briley Parkway. Detectives chased him on foot, yelling for him to stop. After the foot chase, a search of the backpack yielded three bags of marijuana totaling 87 grams. A box of plastic baggies, six boxes of THC cartridges, and a mini-Draco. He also admitted the 20-round magazine was his for the Draco. Three juveniles were also in the vehicle.

Damondre Hayes faces cocaine, handgun, and marijuana charges after traffic stop

19-year-old Damondre Hayes faces multiple weapon and drug charges after an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle he was a passenger in on January 26 when the license plate returned as not on file and did not have a functioning license plate light. As officers approached the red Nissan Altima, a bag of marijuana was in plain view in the front seat. All occupants were removed, and Hayes was found with 5.5 grams of cocaine, 31.6 grams of marijuana, and a Glock handgun.

Paulina Ceja Sanchez found with packaged heroin and marijuana during traffic stop

21-year-old Paulina Ceja Sanchez was in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Nashville on January 16. During a subsequent traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. In a zipper bag which she claimed, officers located 13.5 grams of marijuana and individually packaged capsules with a folded piece of paper in each, which contained 0.9 grams of heroin. A loaded Sig P365 was also located, along with scales and a grinder.

Unlicensed Archangel Security Guard Anthony Sloan charged with drugs & gun at BNA

Airport Police made contact with 28-year-old Anthony Sloan, who was manning a controlled gate at an outside construction area of the Nashville International Airport for Archangel Protective Services. During the conversation, Sloan reportedly had a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle he was sitting in. Inside the vehicle, officers found 2.4 ounces (68 grams) of loose marijuana flower in the back seat within a large plastic bag which the officer believes was the type used to package marijuana by the pound. A handgun was located in a bag in the front seat, along with a scale. The Tennessee Department of Commerce says Sloan applied for an unarmed security guard’s license on September 15th, which was denied based on a material misstatement on his application.
