Teen Zachary Bailey charged with bong and beer at Bellevue Sports Park

Police met 18-year-old Zachary Bailey at a Metro Greenway connecting to a Bellevue Park after it was closed on August 2nd. Police observed a bong in Zachary’s front cup holder of his vehicle, cold, unopened beers, and cold liquor bottles. Zachary told police he had been driving and qualified for a citation since he had no outstanding warrants or an unacceptable amount of failure to appear. He was cited for possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age and drug paraphernalia. He was booked on the charges on August 28th.

Juan Jose Mendoza Soriano led police on chase “for the adrenalin rush,” per report

19-year-old Juan Jose Mendoza Soriano was jailed on June 24th after police saw him driving a white Buick SUV aggressively on Bell Road. He was observed crossing the double yellow lines and speeding to pass cars. Police then saw him run a red light and continue to travel to the wrong side of the road to pass other vehicles. Police activated their lights and sirens and attempted to pull him over, but he continued to speed off, trying to reach the vehicle’s maximum speed. Another officer deployed spikes, but Mendoza avoided the spikes and turned his lights off to black out his SUV. He then entered an apartment complex and bailed on foot. He was found in the wood lines and was taken into custody. He later told police that he ran from them due to adrenalin. Police found multiple open containers in his vehicle, and he blew a .043% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Brennan Spiller, 19, charged with DUI after interstate crash

19-year-old Brennan Spiller was standing on the shoulder of I-40 after wrecking his 2006 Mazda in late January with a bloody nose and a busted lip. He admitted he was the driver, but when officers remarked that he smelled like alcohol, Spiller stated he wasn’t speaking to officers any further about the incident. Officers located several opened alcoholic beverages inside the crashed car. Medics had to hold him up to get to the ambulance, as he could not stand on his own. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and issued citations related to the DUI. He was booked on those charges this week.

Eli Sherrill charged with underage handgun & alcohol possession in downtown Nashville

Citizens called police to report teenagers were firing pellets from a water pellet gun at random people in downtown Nashville late Friday night. Officers located one of the teens, 18-year-old Eli Sherrill, in a parking garage at 314 Church Street. It was determined Eli’s truck was parked in the garage, and as officers approached, they could see the handle of an actual handgun under a tire in the bed of the truck; it was loaded with a round in the chamber. Inside the cab of the truck, officers located water pellets, two water pellet guns, and a bottle of liquor
