Amy Aylward found drunk beside car engulfed in flames in Antioch

Police say 36-year-old Amy Aylward was found sitting on the curb beside a burning vehicle at 4:30 a.m. on May 8th in Antioch. She appeared to be heavily intoxicated and stated she had been drinking in downtown Nashville in the hours prior. She claimed she was not driving the vehicle, which was now engulfed in flames. Neighbors were unable to place her in the driver’s seat of the car. As she repeatedly walked into the middle of the roadway during the investigation, she was eventually taken into custody for public intoxication.

Brandon Keener bounced from Ascend Amphitheater

34-year-old Brandon Keener was ejected from Ascend Amphitheater late Saturday night after causing a drunken disturbance. Once outside the gates, Keener became argumentative, disruptive, and attempted to re-enter the venue. He then walked away on his own, but once again returned to argue about re-entering the venue. Officers at the entrance gave him multiple opportunities to walk away, but Keenver refused and was taken into custody.

Samuel Barrett too drunk and disorderly for downtown Nashville — You’re on Your Own, Kid

25-year-old Samuel Barrett was observed outside of Whiskey Bent Saloon in downtown Nashville early Saturday morning as he was arguing with a group of people, including his friends. He was becoming disruptive to the public and had trouble standing on his own. He was unable to articulate actual sentences when he spoke with offices, who deemed him unable to care for himself. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Justin Rivers says he took “Jack and Daniels” when asked what drugs he was on

22-year-old Justin Rivers was jailed Friday morning after trying to break the glass of Ryman’s Auditorium’s guard shack on John Lewis Way. Police responded after a call from security officers at the location. When police arrived, they saw Rivers shirtless, yelling loudly and punching the glass of the guard shack. Officers immediately detained him and could smell alcohol coming from his breath. Officers asked Rivers if he had taken anything after seeing pinpoint pupils; he replied, “Jack and Daniels.” While officers were speaking to Rivers, he made remarks about bombings, shootings, and other remarks that didn’t make sense. He was taken into custody as he was a danger to himself and the offense would likely continue. While awaiting intake, he continued to make absurd remarks about traffic stops, the keys to his apartment, bombings, and drugs. He continuously went from quiet and respectful to loud and angry.

Dude, that’s not your Uber — Michael Derenzis arrested

32-year-old Michael Derenzis got into a car on Broadway that he believed to be his Uber rideshare. The driver notified him he was in the wrong vehicle, but Michael refused to exit. The driver flagged down a Metro Nashville Police Officer who ordered Michael out of the car, and he still refused. He demanded to speak to the Uber driver in the front seat – but there was no one currently in the front seat. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was taken into custody. On the way to booking, Michael began to speak to his friend, who was not there in the patrol car with him.

Mikey Stubblefield — too drunk to fly, three times, at Nashville Airport

39-year-old Mikey Stubblefield was denied boarding for this flight twice Saturday due to his extreme level of intoxication both times. He then attempted to make a third flight Sunday. While he was en route to his gate, Airport Police noted he was stumbling and could barely stand, and was once again extremely intoxicated. He was observed throwing his bag and stealing two sandwiches along his walk. Already knowing he was going to be denied at the gate for a third time, officers took him into custody for public intoxication after he stated he was from Texas and had no way to arrange any alternate travel or accommodations.

Clay Swartzentruber — You can’t pee here

39-year-old Clay Swartzentruber caught the attention of officers working in the Entertainment District early Sunday morning after they observed Swartzentruber urinating on the side of the Legends Corner building on Broadway. Officers attempted to locate his friends, or a place where he was staying so he could be safely transported there, but he was unable to assist in those efforts. Due to his level of intoxication, Swartzentruber was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Christian Ryan ends up drunk and passed out in bushes after brunch in downtown Nashville

23-year-old Christian Ryan was found passed out behind a bush on Symphony Place in downtown Nashville just before 1 a.m. Sunday. Officers were able to awaken Ryan, who was “somewhat coherent.” He wasn’t sure how he ended up in the bush, but stated he remembers going out to brunch with his friends Saturday morning, and “somehow ended up on Broadway.” He was unable to locate or contact his friends to retrieve him and was still unable to stand on his own. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, Ryan was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Andrew Waltermann refuses to leave Second Fiddle bar in downtown Nashville

Bouncers at the Second Fiddle Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville told 22-year-old Andrew Waltermann he had to leave the location due to his disruptive behavior and level of intoxication. Waltermann refused, and Metro Nashville Police officers arrived to assist. He was given the opportunity to walk away, and he refused. He was then told he would be arrested if he did not leave, and he again refused. With no other options, Waltermann was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Joshua Garozzo breaks into West End Building, passes out atop desk with wet pants

An Uber driver reported to police that he witnessed 29-year-old Joshua Garozzo pry open a door at 1720 West End Avenue just after 4 a.m. Saturday morning. Officers arrived and observed the door of the obviously closed business was ajar. Garozzo was found sitting atop a desk, passed out, with urine-soaked pants. He was unable to tell officers why he was there and struggled to stay awake. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.
