Kristi Cook booked after disobeying police when daughter threatened to shoot woman

47-year-old Kristi Cook was seen resisting arrest on 2nd Avenue North on March 18th. Cook’s daughter pulled a gun out at the scene and threatened to shoot someone. Officers ordered Cook to stand away from the woman that her daughter was threatening to shoot. Despite this, Cook ran at the female and yelled, “She pulled against me!” Officers cited her for the violation that day. Cook was booked on the citation for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on April 5th.

Tylin Udley assaults girlfriend during argument

22-year-old Tylin Omar Udley had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Jalee Sears, at her Susannah Court apartment on April 9th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Sears, who stated she and Udley had an argument, which escalated when she tried to leave the residence, but he wouldn’t allow her. She added that he had her phone and keys as he stood in front of the exit. When Jalee tried to walk out, he grabbed her, causing a scratch on the back of her shoulder. Jalee said she had to push Udley so she could finally leave and advised the incident lasted about 30 minutes. When they spoke with Udley, he said that they only argued, and nothing else happened. Udley was taken into custody for domestic assault and false imprisonment.

Jaymi Coleman assaults ex-boyfriend for bringing his dog to her house

27-year-old Jaymi Coleman had a domestic incident with her ex-boyfriend, Caleb Reese, at her residence on March 18th.  Reese alerted the authorities, stating he went to drop his dog off to her. As he did this, Coleman tried blocking him from returning to his car because she did not want his dog at her house. Then, Reese turned around to tend to the dog, and she stepped on the back of his leg, leaving a visible mark. After this, Coleman got into his car’s driver seat, so Reese removed her by pulling her out of the vehicle by her ankle. Reese then drove away and called the police. Coleman was booked on a summons for domestic assault on April 3rd.

Roderick Clark booked after officers see him “holding his p*nis” while urinating on side of road

56-year-old Roderick Edmond Clark urinated by the road near Charlotte Pike and Sawyer Brown on March 12th. Officers observed Clark peeing on the side of the road while several cars passed. Officers noted that Clark was “holding his p*nis” and that they could see “urine exiting his body.” So, they approached and cited him for the incident that day. Clark was booked on the citation for indecent exposure on April 4th.

Nestor Juarez-Gonzalez caught shoplifting at Opry Mills Mall

26-year-old Nestor Jose Juarez-Gonzalez stole merchandise from Tommy Hilfiger at Opry Mills Mall on April 11th. He entered the store, grabbed a red pair of swimming trunks, and exited without paying. During a subsequent traffic stop, where Juarez-Gonzalez rode as a passenger, officers located the swim trunks with tags attached and recovered them. Juarez-Gonzalez was taken into custody for theft.  

Melvin Lang strangles wife during argument, threatens to kill her

52-year-old Melvin Lang was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife of 12 years, Julia Lang, at their residence on 1st Avenue North on April 5th. Julia stated that Melvin choked her before he left and informed officers that Melvin left her on Broadway the previous night, so they had an argument about it today. Julia advised that one second, she was standing up, and then another, she was on the ground, mounted by Melvin before he began strangling her. Julia stated that the strangulation lasted around one minute, so she thought that her husband was going to kill her. Melvin proceeded to tell Julia, “he didn’t care, and he would her.” Julia fought Melvin off by scratching and biting him while crying frantically. Melvin was then taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

DUI: Terry Briskey swerves between lanes nearly striking telephone pole

59-year-old Terry Lynn Briskey swerved in his white Nissan Rogue and hit a concrete barrier on North Main Street late April 5th. Briskey crossed back over two traffic lanes, nearly striking a telephone pole as well as another vehicle. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop, where he continued driving and slowly drifted into the southbound lane. Then, officers pulled next to Briskey and noticed he was lying across the center console, appearing to be unconscious. Officers parked in front of his Nissan to ensure his safety, during which he sat up and looked at them. While Briskey tried to park his car and turn the radio down, he showed numerous signs of impairment. After he parked, officers noticed Briskey reeked of alcohol and removed him from the driver’s seat, where he admitted to having a drink an hour before the incident. Officers informed him of implied consent, and he agreed to provide a blood sample. After Briskey was transported to Nashville General Hospital, he was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

18-year-old Karla Hernandez-Reyes jailed after being getaway driver for shooter

18-year-old Karla Dayana Hernandez-Reyes was taken into custody for the facilitation of aggravated assault on April 11th. On March 24th, around 6:33 a.m., the police received a call regarding a shooting at a Preserve Circle residence. When officers arrived, they located Brillian Amilcar Mercado-Nunez with a gunshot wound to his face, so they rendered aid until medics showed up to transport him to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Detectives were advised of the incident and investigated, during which they observed a large amount of blood on the couch and living room floor. They spoke with multiple people who were inside during the shooting and identified Hernandez-Reyes as the individual who drove the shooter to and from the scene, helping him escape.

Booster Cassandra Woods steals $6,319 worth of merchandise from TJ Maxx

32-year-old Cassandra Woods stole merchandise from the TJ Maxx on Gallatin Pike North around 6:12 p.m. on May 25th, 2023. While inside the business, she grabbed multiple designer purses worth $5,600 and left without paying.

Then, on June 13th, 2023, around 7:12 p.m., she returned to TJ Maxx, collected $719.93 worth of merchandise, and exited without purchasing the items. Woods was taken into custody for two counts of theft on April 11th, 2024.

Mark Swayze falls over drunk at Nashville International Airport

62-year-old Mark Melvin Swayze fell onto the floor at Nashville International Airport in the early hours of April 4th. When officers arrived, they provided Swayze with medical attention. He refused to be transported to the hospital for any additional treatment and advised officers he had multiple alcoholic beverages on his flight from Dallas, Texas, to Nashville, Tennessee. While he was speaking, officers noticed he reeked of alcohol, so they asked him about the fall, but he was unable to give them any information. Swayze was deemed a danger to himself and others and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
