Man charged with punching out $12K custom window in downtown Nashville — Justin Bolla

31-year-old tourist Justin Bolla faces a Class C felony vandalism charge after police say he was walking in downtown Nashville when he suddenly punched a hole through the front storefront window of Betty’s Boots on Broadway. Police reviewed security footage and charged the Massachusetts tourist with felony vandalism after the custom window was estimated at $12,000 to repair. His friend with him, Kevin Gately, was additionally charged with public intoxication.

Tourist tells hotel staff what they can suck & then pulls a gun; upset over room — Bryce Barlow $25K Bond

28-year-old Bryce Barlow now faces 3 felony charges after he arrived at the Grand Hyatt Nashville hotel Tuesday heavily intoxicated and telling staff members precisely what they could suck, then taking out his weapon and threatening to shoot them. Barlow was reportedly upset he was given a room with two queen beds instead of a single king.

Barlow was released after 4 hours in booking, on a $25,000 bond.

Ohio Man charged with assault of bouncers at Rippy’s Bar — Michael McGhee

30-year-old tourist Michael McGhee now faces two assault charges after an altercation at Rippy’s in downtown Nashville this playoff weekend. Police say early Sunday morning bouncers at Rippy’s bar on Broadway flagged them down due to a fight at the venue. When officers arrived inside, McGhee was already detained by security. He had fallen asleep at the bar and was asked to leave, but instead decided to threaten Joseph Gillaspie and pushed him when Robert Silliman attempted to restrain McGhee, who kicked him in the face.

19-year-old tourist drunk and disorderly at downtown Nashville Bar — Michael McGibney

19-year-old Michael McGibney was found at AJ’s Good Time Bar in downtown Nashville, heavily intoxicated. Employees report he had been in a fight, and informed police, who attempted to allow medics to transport him to the hospital, but he refused all treatment.

Due to his extreme state of drunkenness, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Drunken tourist charged with vandalizing downtown hotel lobby — Adolfo Monge

27-year-old tourist Adolfo Monge, from Atlanta, is free on pre-trial release after police say he came into the Comfort Inn on Demonbreun, initially asking to charge his phone. After a confrontation between him and the front desk clerk, he ripped the credit card machine from the front desk and tossed it across the lobby, stating “Make my Day! Do you want to fight me?”.

He would eventually leave, then return to stare at the clerk, who called police a second time. He was finally taken into custody and charged with vandalism.

21-year-old vs. Downtown Nashville drink pours: Taylor Murray charged with public intoxication

On 01/08/2022 at 2128 hours the defendant, Taylor Murray, was observed on 2nd Av S near Broadway. The defendant was seated slumped over on the sidewalk when officers approached her to see why she was on the ground. Officers detected the strong odor of alcohol expelling from the defendant’s breath when she spoke. The defendant was unsteady on her feet, had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech, and was unable to care for herself. Due to the defendant’s high level of intoxication, it was determined she was a danger to herself and others.

Taylor was arrested and charged with public intoxication.

Texas Tourist found drunk, disorderly, & trespassing at Nashville Symphony — Mark Alan Richardson

23-year-old Mark Alan Richardson, from Texas, was found yelling and screaming from inside a locked & gated courtyard area of the Nashville Symphony in downtown Nashville. He apparently was unable to get out of the area, and venue security told police they believe he had to scale the eight-foot-tall gates to get stuck inside. Richardson refused to speak to officers and was transported to the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. He is free on pre-trial release.

Man transports friend who shot himself in downtown Nashville on bird scooter to hotel, hides gun — Corey Oakes arrested

25-year-old tourist Corey Oakes, from Kentucky, is charged with tampering with evidence and public intoxication after he carried his friend, who shot himself in the leg in downtown Nashville while drinking, on a bird scooter back to the Cambria hotel and parked him at the entrance while he returned to their room upstairs to hide the gun. When police responded to the shooting call at the hotel they located the victim and Oakes, who was extremely intoxicated, and admitted his friend “may have possibly shot himself” and admitted to returning the gun to their room. Oakes is free on pre-trial release.

Colorado tourist calls 911 on wife who slapped him at downtown Nashville Hotel — Tina Michelle Smith arrested

Tourist Christopher Michael Smith called Metro Nashville Police early Monday morning to report his 55-year-old wife, Tina Michelle Smith, was slapping him. When police arrived, the couple, who were in town from Castle Pines, Colorado, had already got an additional room at the JW Marriott in downtown Nashville where they were staying and separated themselves. Court records show that when Christopher was talking to their son on the phone he revealed the couple had been out drinking earlier in the evening, which upset Tina, causing her to wrestle the phone away from her husband while he attempted to record her.

She eventually got on top of him on the hotel bed and began slapping him in the face, prompting the 911 call. A hotel air vent was also broken during the assault. Police documented nail marks on the victim’s face, and blood on his pillow. Tina Smith was transported to the Metro Nashville Jail and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. After the state-mandated 12-hour hold for domestic violence cases, she was released on a $5,000 cash bond.
