DUI: Hugh Hoagland crashes into fence downtown, denies crash ever happened

Metro Nashville Police responded to an automobile crash just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning at the railroad crossing downtown at 2nd Ave near Gay St. 23-year-old Hugh Hoagland had driven his vehicle into a fence on the opposite side of the road from his lane of travel. He was found slumped over the driver’s seat and was eventually awakened by knocking on the window. He admitted he had been drinking “around here” but continued to deny he had crashed into the fence where he sat and even denied that there was ever a crash. He attempted field sobriety tests but stopped them after starting.

Andrew Thacker charged in assault of girlfriend at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police responded to a fight at Bridgestone Arena late Wednesday night and found 27-year-old Andrew Durham Thacker, who reportedly assaulted his girlfriend, Kayana Cunningham. A witness who broke up the physical altercation told police Thacker placed a hand on Cunningham and pushed her with substantial force up against a vehicle. Cunningham confirmed that Thacker placed his hand around the front of her neck and pushed her against the vehicle as the argument escalated.

Pennsylvania Couple brawl it out in Dream Hotel Elevator in Nashville — Kevin & Kasey Bledsoe

A married couple from Pennsylvania came to Nashville this weekend and ended up behind bars after they brawled in the elevator of the Dream Hotel in downtown Nashville. 42-year-old Kasey Bledsoe and 45-year-old Kevin Bledsoe were both charged with domestic assault with bodily injury after officers viewed a security video that shows the couple in a verbal argument in the elevator of the hotel when Kasey pushed her husband with substantial force against the wall and strikes him on his head with an open hand, leaving a visible injury on his head. Kevin is then seen punching his wife in the head, also leaving a visible injury. He then shoves her head onto the floor.

Cameron Mowrer resists arrests & booking after causing disturbance in downtown Nashville

Just after 1:30 a.m. Friday, officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville observed 26-year-old Cameron Mowrer just outside 404 Broadway, where he was refusing to leave the location, pushing the security staff, and appeared intoxicated. After he continued to refuse to leave, he was taken into custody for public intoxication but refused to be seated in the transport car. Several officers placed him into the vehicle, and he was transported to booking where he refused to exit and had to be removed from the vehicle by multiple officers. He was then forced off the floor while still resisting, and taken inside to booking.

Tourist Chad Muus charged with assault of his wife after CMA Fest concert at Nissan Stadium

As the opening night of CMA Fest 2022 ended at Nissan Stadium overnight, Metro Nashville Police responded to the parking lot of the stadium just after 3 a.m. Friday after venue security observed an assault. 45-year-old Chad Muus reportedly threw his wife, Kaydi Muus, to the ground, causing her to strike her knees on the pavement, and leaving her with injuries. Police noted both parties appeared heavily intoxicated and determined Chad to be the primary aggressor.

Another tourist who wasn’t prepared for Nashville’s liquor — Austin Joseph Barnes arrested

25-year-old Austin Barnes told Metro Nashville Police he was in Oklahoma City when they found him too drunk to stand up at the entrance to the Drury Plaza Hotel in downtown Nashville Thursday. He was unable to provide which actual hotel he was staying at and was deemed too intoxicated to remain safely by himself. With no friends to care for him, he was taken into custody and transported to booking.

DUI: Nashville Realtor crashes into a parked car after Margaritas & Tequila — Samantha Patton

25-year-old Nashville Realtor Samantha ‘Sammie’ Patton was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Friday evening after leaving Cilantro Mexican Grill, where she says she had two margaritas and a shot of tequila before driving. Officers say she left the restaurant and proceeded onto Eastland Ave where she struck a parked vehicle. When officers and medics responded to the overturned vehicle they found Patton extremely impaired. She refused a breath test.

DUI driver hits two cars without stopping after either crash — Samantha Whitten

30-year-old Samantha Whitten faces multiple charges after police say she struck at least two vehicles and fled both scenes Monday night in Nashville. Once police caught up with her, she advised she had consumed “several” beers. Luckily, no one was injured in either vehicle she hit. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI, failure to give information/aid, violation of the implied consent law, and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
